Handsome Brown Phase Black Bear Searching for Spring Nutrients after Hibernation
This handsome Brown Phase Black Bear was one of the first few Bears seen in Spring searching for Nutrients. You can see this Boar marking a bit of his territory as he covers ground. His beautiful fur coat displayed some fantastic genetics along with showing that he was in very good condition after hibernation. At 7:00 you can see his coat at it's finest as well as how easy it might be to mistake a Black Bear for a Grizzly at certain angles. We've seen this Bear for a few years now and it is always fantastic to witness them arrive again the following year, after a successful hibernation. Avalanches in these areas always draw concern, which happen almost yearly.
