Trekking In Mu Cang Chai 4 Days

Mu Cang Chai trekking tour is a wonderful journey to explore Mu Cang Chai’s landscapes – the breathtaking beauty of rice terraces on mountain slopes dotted with remote villages of local ethnics;  to learn about local Thai cultures & their customs in northern mountains of Vietnam. Chance for you to taste authentic local foods; interact with friendly local residents. This trekking is most idealistic for ones who love natural sceneries, trekking activities and to experience local ethnic cultures.

Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Nghia Lo

Stop At: Nghia Lo Town High School, Lê Quý Đôn, Tân An, Nghĩa Lộ, Yên Bái, Vietnam
Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi at 8 AM. After getting out of bustle and hustle Hanoi, time to enjoy the countryside view through the windows while driving northwestward to Yen Bai province. Arrive at Nghia Lo town early in the afternoon, check in your homestay at a peaceful village nearby Nghia Lo. Lunch and rest on a traditional stilt house.

In the afternoon, embark on a bicycling trip to discover the daily life of the ethnic community in the area and enjoy the beautiful scenery of villages, rice fields an mountains. Dinner and overnight at the homestay.

Day 2: Nghia Lo – Tu Le – Mu Cang Chai

Stop At: Mu Cang Chai, National Road 32, Yen Bai 320000 Vietnam
After breakfast, say farewell to the host family and head for Tu Le town. Tu Le is a little town located at beautiful valley at the foot of Khau Pha Pass. Upon arrival, get ready for a soft trek to the rice valley and visit local villages. Taking photographs and meeting local people. Back to the town for lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, start our drive up the famous Khau Pha Pass. This mountain pass is known as one of 4 greatest passes in Northen Vietnam. The scenery over the valley from the pass is so stunning at the rice reason, especially during the harvesting time. Stop for photo opportunities on the way to Mu Cang Chai. Arrive in Mu Cang Chai town late in the afternoon. Check in a local homestay by the town. After getting our baggage stored, end the day with an easy walk to visit a village of the Thai ethnic minority at the foot of a mountain nearby. Dinner and overnight at the homestay.

Day 3: Mu Cang Chai Full Day Trekking

Stop At: La Pan Tan, Mu Cang Chai 320000 Vietnam
In the morning, get a transfer to the full day point. Our trek will start from Che Cu Nha to La Pan Tan on a 16 km trail. This trek will definitely offer us a good opportunity to see the main spots and admire the beauty of amazing rice terraces that Mu Cang Chai has to offer. You are also able to visit a few villages of the Hmong hill tribes scattered in the area.

Get picked up at around 4.00 PM. Transfer to Mu Cang Chai where you spend the night.

Day 4: Mu Cang Chai – Hanoi

Stop At: Mu Cang Chai, National Road 32, Yen Bai 320000 Vietnam
After breakfast, check out of the room and make our way back to Hanoi. Lunch on the way. Arrive Hanoi late in the afternoon.
