Stop At: Presidential Palace Historical Site, 1 Bach Thao Ba Dinh, Hanoi 10000 Vietnam

The yellow building located near the Ho Chi Minh complex.
This French colonial building was originally the living and working headquarters for the Governor General of Indochina. After Vietnam's defeat of the French in 1954, Ho Chi Minh refused to live here, preferring instead the modest cottage on the Palace's grounds (from 1954 to 1958). In 1958, he moved into the house on stilts.

This bright mustard building, though a French colonial building, bears a resemblance to Italianate Renaissance and Baroque palaces. The second floor (the piano nobile) is the important formal floor with a grand stairway leading to the arched portal. We will have a look outside.

The pagoda was built in 541-548 on the bank of the Red River in the territory of Yen Hoa village (now the Yen Phu Ward, Tay Ho district). The pagoda was recognized as “cultural relic” at national level in 1989. In late 2003, the pagoda had a more significant project: a lotus tower on the grounds.
The tower was built in June, 1998 to November 2003, the monument was inaugurated in the presence of authorities, the Buddhist Sangha of Vietnam and numerous Buddhists and people.

Vietnam is the Buddhist country, we have a thousands of pagoda and temple, of all worth visiting sites in Hanoi “One pillar pagoda” is one of the most sacred and iconic place. The pagoda formerly named Dien Huu Tu, literally meaning “long-lasting happiness and good luck”. In the past, this place was the site of the annual royal Buddha-bathing ceremony on the occasion of Vesak. During the ceremony, the monarch would free a bird following by the other participants.

Temple of Literature (also called Văn Miếu Quốc Tử Giám) is the first University in Hanoi, and was built in 1070. This is also the only place which follow as China architecture. Temple of Literature is one of the many must-see historical site when visiting Hanoi, the Capital City of Vietnam.
Temple of Literature not only represents the enduring progress of Vietnamese culture but also contributes significantly to both Confucian civilization in Vietnam and other cultures in the world.

Stop At: Hoa Lo Prison, 1 Hoa Lo St Hoan Kiem, Hanoi 10000 Vietnam

The Hoa Lo Prison, sarcastically coined the Hanoi Hilton by American POWs, was originally built by the French to house Vietnamese political prisoners. The North Vietnamese Army later used the prison to house prisoners of war during the Vietnam War. Well known figures such as Senator John McCain, James Stockdale and Bud Day were just a few of the many prisoners of war that spent time in this prison. Two thirds of the prison was torn down to make way for the Hanoi Towers; the rest was turned into a museum and is now a popular tourist attraction in Hanoi. In 1999 a Hilton Hotel opened in Hanoi and was carefully named the Hilton Hanoi Opera Hotel.
