Trail Running Adventures in RVA

Downtown Richmond is unique with over 30 miles of singletrack, dirt trails, bridges, and access roads along the James River that keep us out of the city tucked away under a canopy of trees. Along our adventure, we will encounter many places to take in great views of our skyline and river settings. Richmond is also steeped in history and we will pass places such as Hollywood Cemetery, the original Hydroelectric Power Plant, and other historic settings going back to John Smith. These are all accessible by trail .

Itinerary

We'll leave out of the Belle Isle Parking Area and take to the trails right off. Our Urban Assault will take on the trails of Belle Isle with plenty of scenic views of the James River, Hollywood Cemetery, and downtown. To make it to the southside of town, we will do a fun rock hop river crossing(pending river level). Once on the southside of the James, we will take some fun singletrack down to the Richmond Floodwall with wide open views of the river and downtown from a new perspective. We will work our way back over to the northside and discover the pipeline that most from Richmond don't even know about. Our pipeline route is an elevated catwalk above the river with views of rapids, bald eagles, and ospreys. After the pipeline, we will end up back at the Belle Isle Parking Area and wrap up our adventure.
