Self-Guided Whitewater River Tubing

Whitewater tubing on the Weber River is extreme fun for guests who are experienced in whitewater tubing.

We offer tube rentals and shuttle service to bring you back to your car. Float the Weber River from our private property base camp in Henefer to Taggart, for a total float time of about 2.5 - 3 hours.  That's 30 minutes longer float time than any other commercial outfitter on this river!

At the end of your float, our staff will meet you at the Taggart take-out site and shuttle you back to the starting point at our river base camp in Henefer.

This is NOT a lazy river.  You must be physically fit.  Good swimming and river skills are highly recommended.

If you are a beginner or have not been on the Hen-Tag reach of the Weber River, then we recommend guided paddle rafting for your first experience.

Arrive at our Weber River Adventures Base Camp in Henefer 30 minutes before your trip start time to get checked in, sign waiver forms and receive your life jacket and whitewater river tube.  We provide a brief safety tutorial before sending you on your way down the river.  You will use your hands to paddle and navigate your tube for 7.5 miles down stream to Taggart.

The first 30 minutes float through private ranch property with a small but potentially challenging waterfall, and some extreme bends in the river that require you to actively paddle with your hands towards the inner bank of the bend, to prevent being pushed into the bushes by the current. This quite reach through Henefer valley offers the best chance to see wildlife such as mallards, Canada geese, great blue herons, bald eagles, red tailed hawks and osprey.  After you pass the public access Weber River Float Parking Lot, you will enter the red rock and arches Canyon in Morgan County, and the challenging Rock Garden.  The extremely low Croydon Bridge, also known as "Concussion Bridge" is about the half-way point of the trip.  Later you will float past the Devil's Slide geological formation, and then under the Long Bridge, also known as "Killer Pillars".  Then a bit of a relaxing stretch and the grand finale of Taggart's Rapid (a.k.a. Taggart Falls)

No alcohol.  Wear shoes that will stay on your feet.  Protect from sunburn and underarm rash.
