Our boutique winery was established in 2002 and is known for our crisp, clean whites and smooth, big reds.

Our vineyards, tasting room and gift shop are a fantastic destination whether you’re making a day trip up from the Phoenix/Scottsdale area or are visiting from out of state.

Sample a glass of wine, order a gourmet appetizer, and relax in our gorgeous outdoor patio garden overlooking the vineyards. And if you’ve got some beer lovers in tow, don’t worry we’ve got that on the menu, too.

We’re located just an hour’s drive north of Phoenix and 20 minutes south of Sedona on Page Springs Road.

Javelina Leap is a family operated, premium boutique winery with award winning wines. Our winery is in northern Arizona’s Verde Valley only minutes away from Sedona in the small historic valley of Page Springs.

Javelina Leap Winery processes approximately 44 tons of Arizona grown grapes equaling about 2600 cases of fine Javelina Leap Arizona wine. When you visit us, you will be sampling wines at a fully functional vineyard and winery. Our harvested Arizona grapes are picked, de-stemmed, fermented, pressed, aged, bottled and labeled all right here at the winery which is equipped with a 100 barrel capacity cellar currently full of aging Arizona wine. We also offer tours of our winemaking facility and barrel room.

Elevation, volcanic soil, hot days and cool nights make Arizona a perfect environment for grape growing. Arizona, California, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Bordeaux France are all between 34 and 45 degrees latitude north of the Equator placing Arizona among some of the most famous wine destinations in the world.

Alcantara Vineyards is a dream venture created by Barbara and husband Bob to provide their family and partners the opportunity to live the dream of growing a vineyard community and winery. It was in cultivating the vineyards and embracing the land that Barbara and her family soon realized there was a bigger picture in this hidden treasure along the confluence of two rivers. You’ll find Alcantara Vineyards has over 13,000 vines and offers 12 different varietals. While you sip wine and enjoy our peaceful surroundings, which include vineyards, a grass picnic area, the Verde River and bald eagles flying overhead, you’ll find you are part of our community and family.
