Santa Fe Archery Workshop

You will carry with you a new skill that ties you to the outdoors and history and to the history and culture of Santa Fe. Not only is learning traditional archery an experience, it will become part of your own identity.

Itinerary

Travelers will receive an engaging introduction to traditional archery and leave impassioned and skilled new archers! They will learn to shoot outdoors with no sights, no gears, and no reminders of our modern times at all. Instead, they will connect to the style of our ancestors. If they're interested in history and culture, they can also hear stories of our local ancestors from their 18th-generation Santa Fean instructor. They will spend their time improving their shooting technique and take with them an ability and a new passion that will last a lifetime. Archery is at once exhilarating and meditative, and this will be a safe and engrossing experience for everyone.* If you have never shot before, you will leave the workshop with the training you need to proudly call yourself an archer.
*Please note: Safety will be addressed before arrows are introduced onto the range, and the violation of safety rules will be grounds for dismissal from the course. This is a primarily an adult activity. If families participate, children under 10 are not permitted, and all children must demonstrate maturity and remain under continual parental supervision.
