Caines Head Kayak & Hike Combo

Our Caines Head Paddle and Hike is a VERY ACTIVE day with approximately 10 miles of paddling and a 5-mile hike (elevation gain of 650' from the bay to the fort) and requires full participation by each guest in both the paddling and hiking part of the day. This is a full day outdoors so be sure to bring enough clothes/layers to handle our changing weather conditions.

This trip is a great opportunity to combine both hiking and sea kayaking for those looking for an active adventure. While kayaking we'll watch for sea otters, sea lions, porpoise, eagles and sea birds. Our day will include a picnic lunch and either a hike up to Fort McGilvray, an abandoned subterranean World War II military fort or the exploration of a hidden waterfall. We use stable and efficient tandem (two-person) kayaks allowing both novices and aspiring experts to kayak comfortably.
