The iconic dual arches of the Brooklyn Bridge are unmistakable! Chances are you already recognize the bridge from movies set in New York.

Stop At: Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn, NY, USA

Like the Brooklyn Bridge, it connects Brooklyn to Manhattan. Over 450,000 commuters cross from one side to the other every single day.

Stop At: Main Street Park, New York City, NY 11201

Built-in the shadow of the Manhattan Bridge to the right and the Brooklyn Bridge to the left, this park features some striking views of the East River and the Manhattan skyline.

Stop At: Pebble Beach, Manhattan Bridge Pedestrian Path, Brooklyn, NY 11201, USA

You’ll notice a carousel directly ahead. That’s Jane’s Carousel. We’ll talk more about it later on. We’ll also hear more about the Brooklyn Bridge as we get closer. For now, look out at the water.

This 100-year-old wooden merry-go-round is nearly 400 miles away from its birthplace. Originally housed in Ohio, the carousel was nearly broken apart and sold one horse at a time.

Have you ever heard the phrase “if you believe that, I’ve got a bridge to sell you?” Do you know where it comes from? If not, then today’s your lucky day, because you’re about to find out.

Stop At: St. Ann's Warehouse, 45 Water St, Brooklyn, NY 11201-1052

Notice the brick warehouse just ahead. That’s St. Ann’s warehouse. You’ll probably see lots of people posing with its picturesque arches.

Stop At: Grimaldi's Pizzeria, 1 Front St, Brooklyn, NY 11201, USA

Grimaldi’s, one of the city's most infamous pizzerias. Founded by New York pizza legend Pasquale “Patsy” Grimaldi, Grimaldi’s soon became a hot spot for hungry Brooklynites.

Stop At: 142 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, NY 11201, USA

After the intersection with Pineapple St, you’ll find the former home of eccentric author Norman Mailer.

Look for #142. It’s the third door down on the right.

Stop At: Truman Capote's House, 70 Willow St, Brooklyn, NY 11201, USA

In 2012, the house was purchased by another celebrity resident: Dan Houser, creator of the Grand Theft Auto video games.

Stop At: St George Hotel, 100 Henry St, Brooklyn, NY 11201, USA

This entire block of buildings was once the glamorous Hotel St. George, the largest and most prestigious hotel in New York City.

Stop At: Cadman Plaza Park, Cadman Plaza E, Brooklyn, NY 11201, USA

Cadman Plaza has a statue on the northern end, which we’re not going to walk to today. The statue commemorates William Jay Gaynor, a former mayor of New York.

Stop At: Brooklyn War Memorial, 195 Cadman Plaza W, Brooklyn, NY 11201, USA

Every New York borough has a memorial like this one, in honor of the city’s residents who fought and died in the war. At the time it was built, these statues were said to be the largest in the city.
