Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Whitehall, Government London, London SW1A 2BX England

One important section of this walking and/or public transport tour is a famous London street known as Whitehall. This street can be found in Westminster, in the heart of London, and is the site of various Muggle (non-magical) government offices and ministries. However, it also houses the entrance to the British Ministry of Magic, the main governing body of the magical community of Great Britain. As well as learning all about its significance from your expert guide, you will also have the opportunity to see Downing Street, where the Muggle Prime Minister resides. As Downing Street is not open to the general Muggle public, however, the closest you will get to it is by looking through the gates at one end.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Trafalgar Square, Centre of the City, London SW1A England

What other famous Harry Potter locations will you see? Well, remember the opening flight battle in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” as the Death Eaters fly over central London? Well, one of the places where they wreak most havoc is none other than London's most famous and iconic square, Trafalgar Square. From here, they fly onto Diagon Alley, where they abduct Garrick Ollivander. As well as explaining its significance in the Harry Potter story, your expert guide will also tell you all about the square's most famous attractions, including the National Gallery, Nelson's Column and the Trafalgar Square lions.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Leadenhall Market, Gracechurch Street, London EC3V 1LR England

The aforementioned Diagon Alley, in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, is actually Leadenhall Market in the City of London. In the film, it became the wizard-world shopping street, and Hagrid and Harry walk along the said street before going into the Leaky Cauldron Pub through a blue door, which you may be able to recognise. Your expert guide, with a wealth of experience leading tours for families with children, will know exactly how to keep you and your kids engaged and enthralled as you visit this site and throughout the tour.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Charing Cross Road, London England

The Leaky Cauldron Pub is actually located on Charing Cross Road, a street you will walk along with your guide. Wizards and witches can access Diagon Alley by walking through the inn. In the film, the shabby little hostelry stands between a record shop and a book shop. Although there are several pubs on Charing Cross Road, none of them exactly match the description of the one in the film, so why not put yourselves to the test and try and work out which one is really the Leaky Cauldron!

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Millennium Bridge, Thames Embankment, London SE1 9JE England

Another famous location from the “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” will be your next stop. Who can forget the opening scenes where the Death Eaters fly over London destroying everything in their path, including the Millennium Bridge? The first bridge to be built across the Thames in London in over a hundred years is also a great place from which to enjoy wonderful views of the city and take some souvenir photographs.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: King's Cross Station, Euston Road, London N1 9AP England

The tour will be completed, with the help of London's public transport network, with a visit to King's Cross Station. This is where the pupils of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry go to catch the Hogwarts Express. In this special magical world, Harry and his friends reach Platform 9¾, where the Express leaves from, by rushing through a brick wall between platforms 9 and 10! Make believe you are about to do the same by having your photo taken pushing the luggage trolley embedded in the wall! A visit to the Harry Potter Shop will be the perfect way to round off a very special tour.
Note: as you will use public transport, please make sure you have your Oyster cards with you.
