Hands-on Photography workshop

LIGHTCAMP, a bootcamp workshop for photographers, was founded by JasonPB in 2018 to provide an alternative to traditional photography workshops. It creates an exciting communal space for photographers to experiment and improve their photographic skills by completing a series of timed tasks.

Tasks are specifically designed to challenge your photographic skill whilst simultaneously developing creativity. We start classes with practical tasks (not boring theory) and then debrief as a group to discuss successes and failures learning quickly from one another. JasonPB answers questions to any level from beginner to seasoned professionals so students can learn at their own pace. Then the group moves on to the next timed task.

At LIGHTCAMP we get rid of the dry theory, skip past the jargon and get you focused on shooting better as quickly as possible. Our specially crafted tasks are all field-tested, designed to work for everyone no matter your learning style.

Itinerary

This introductory photography workshop runs for 1hr 15min at Frome Town Hall. This is a taster class for the 6-week long courses that will be running in Frome from the beginning of September. Moving away from Automatic modes

Introduction to aperture, shutter speed and ISO

Foundation of composition

Creative problem solving

Communication and shooting etiquette (important for working with models)
