Double Gorrilla Trekking And Tree Climbing Lions

This Gorilla Tracking Safari in Uganda includes a double experience of tracking gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park located in Southwestern Uganda approximately 9 hours drive from Kampala and for our case its 1.5hrs by flight. It also gives you a chance to visit the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park also well known for the tree climbing lions. During this safari you will be able to visit two different gorilla families; hence your accommodation facilities might vary basing on the parts where you will be trekking gorilla from.

Itinerary

Day 1: Airport Pickup

Stop At: Airport Transfer Entebbe, Kampala Uganda
On your arrival today at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our driver guide (Company representative) who will transfer you to your hotel/guest house in Entebbe for an overnight. He will brief you about your next day’s program. Dinner & Overnight at Lake Victoria Kigo Serena Resort – Bed & Breakfast.

Day 2: Fly to Kisoro

Stop At: Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Kisoro Uganda
Today our driver will transfer you to the airport to catch your flight to Kisoro, where you will find our representative waiting and there after he will transfer you to your lodge. In the evening you may relax of have a self guided walk in the community or with a lodge staff, return for dinner and overnight with a briefing from your about tomorrows big day. Dinner & Overnight at Clouds Lodge –Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking

Stop At: Kisiizi Falls, Kisiizi Hospital Estate Kigezi Highlands, Rukungiri Uganda
Enjoy your breakfast and set out from your lodge with packed lunch as you head to the park headquarters at 7 am for briefing before you embark on Gorilla tracking in the thick mist Bwindi forest. Thereafter proceed for tracking which takes about between 2 to 6 hours mainly dependent on how far the gorillas go. Trekkers are allowed to spend one hour with the gentle giants in this time you could watch them play, feed, and take enough photos. Dinner & Overnight Clouds Lodge – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Rushaga

Stop At: Queen Elizabeth National Park, 410 kilometers from Kampala, Kasese Uganda
Before embarking on gorilla tracking, wake up early enough and have breakfast, carry packed lunch from the lodge, you will follow the same procedure used same as that on the first day though you will follow another gorilla group different from what you tracked the previous day however today you will drive for approximately 1.5hrs to the starting point. Dinner & Overnight Clouds Lodge – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 5: Transfer to Ishasha. Queen Elizabeth National Park

Stop At: Queen Elizabeth National Park, 410 kilometers from Kampala, Kasese Uganda
Today you will have late breakfast to allow you relax from your previous treks there after your guide will transfer you to Ishasha via the Bwindi Forest route. This will see you arrive at lunch time at Enjojo Lodge. After lunch you will head for the game drive in such for the wildlife especially the tree climbing lions and other mammals like leopards, buffalos elephants etc. Dinner & Overnight Enjojo Lodge – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 6: Fly Back to Entebbe

Stop At: Lake Victoria, Entebbe Uganda
After the lifetime experience, today your driver at the lodge will transfer you back to the Kihihi airfield where you will board your flight back to Entebbe and there after our driver will pick you and take you to the lodge – Overnight at Lake Victoria Kigo Serena Resort.

Day 7: Entebbe Departure

Stop At: Entebbe Crafts Village, Portal Road, Entebbe Uganda

Note:

Alternatively, instead of the gorilla habitation, you could do two gorilla trekking experiences in two different groups i.e. Nkuringo & Rushanga in two different days. You will advise on
