This 5 day of Uganda hiking safari gives a chance to hike top 3 volcanic mountains in Uganda and Africa, Mt Muhabura, Mt Sabinyo and Mt Gahinga are located in Virunga Mountains which is shared between three Countries Rwanda D.R.Congo and Uganda. Also this hiking tour can start and end in Kigali Rwanda or Entebbe Uganda

Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Kisoro Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Stop At: Airport Transfer Entebbe, Kampala Uganda
After breakfast we drive to Kisoro Town in south western Uganda, This journey takes you through Uganda Equator with stopover for photographing, drive through different towns and villages, latter stop in Mbarara town for lunch after continue to Kabale before reaching Kisoro for overnight and prepare for the next day mount Sabinyo volcano hike next morning.

Day 2: Hiking Mount Sabinyo Volcano Mountain (3,669 meters)

Stop At: Mount Sabinyo, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park Uganda
Hiking mount Sabinyo volcano is done in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park located in Kisoro district south western Uganda on the border of DR-Congo and Rwanda, you will hike to the third peak you will be standing in three Countries, hiking Mt sabinyo takes you through different vegetation, on clear day you will have beautiful view of different towns and villages in Rwanda and DR-Congo.

Mount Sabinyo is the most difficult mountain to climb so one must be prepared physical and I must say Mt Sabinyo is worth adventurous volcano hiking.

Day 3: Hiking Mount Gahinga Volcano Mountain (3,474 Meters)

Stop At: Mount Gahinga, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park Uganda
Mount Gahinga volcano is the smallest among all the six volcanoes in Virunga mountain range but yet one of the most beautiful for the hiking safari lovers, Mt Gahinga is around 3400m

Hiking Mt Gahinga volcano takes you through bamboo forest, hiking up and down in the steep slopes of the volcano, some part of this volcano is swamp and other different interesting plants. Climbing Mt Gahinga needs some fitness level and it take half to full day depending on your seep and fineness?

Day 4: Hiking Mount Muhabura Volcano Mountain (4127 Meters)

Stop At: Mount Muhavura, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park Uganda
After breakfast meet your guide who will transfer you to the starting point at 7:00am, Mt Muhabura takes you about 8 hours to/from depending on your fitness and speed, Muhabura hike is also very adventurous for the people who love mountain climbing, it is worthy visiting while in Africa

Mt muhabura climbing takes you through the amazing terrains and steep slopes as you pass the different types of magnificent vegetation. When you the top of Mt muhabura you find a Crater Lake and amazing views of different villages and towns in Rwanda, D.R.Congo and Kisoro.

Day 5: Transfer back to Entebbe

In the mid-morning after breakfast it’s time to say farewell to Kisoro area Uganda, after we drive you back to Entebbe Uganda, and if you still have time we can add mountain gorilla trekking to Uganda hiking itinerary or continue to the airport for your flight and say bye bye to Uganda.
