Follow the mountain gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest and discover their gorgeous natural habitat and the many species they share it with. Coming face to face is one of the most amazing experience you have ever have, you will have a chance to observe and take pictures as you enjoy them from a close range observing adults feeding, groaning and resting as the youngsters play and move backwards and forward in a pleasantly comical demonstration.

Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Bwindi

Pass By: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Buhoma Kanungu and Kisoro, Kabale Uganda
You will be picked by our driver from your accommodation, after which you start your journey to the famous Bwindi Impenetrable National park! This park is mostly famous for the rare mountain gorillas and the drive to the park is incredibly scenic, passing through various local villages and the lush green countryside & hills which characterize so much of south western Uganda.

Once you are in the forest park, it is one of the richest ecosystems in Africa and the diversity of species is a feature of the park. It provides habitat for some 120 species of mammals, 348 species of birds, 220 species of butterflies, 27 species of frogs, chameleons, geckos and many endangered species. Floristically Bwindi is amongst the most diverse forests in East Africa, with more than 1,000 flowering plant species including 163 species of trees and 104 species of ferns. The journey takes 10 hours.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking.

Pass By: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Buhoma Kanungu and Kisoro, Kabale Uganda
Today you go to track the rare mountain gorillas. After a briefing from your ranger guide, begin tracking the mountain gorillas through the ancient Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This can take a couple of hours or a whole day depending on the location of the apes. Keep an eye out for forest species such as buffaloes, elephants, black fronted duikers and bush bucks. NB Do not forget to carry your packed lunches. It is a humbling experience to stand just meters from man’s distant cousins as they eat rest, play and bond with their young. Follow the mountain gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest and discover their gorgeous natural habitat and the many species they share it with. Coming face to face is one of the most amazing experience you have ever have, you will have a chance to observe and take pictures as you enjoy them from a close range observing adults feeding, groaning and resting as the youngsters play and move backwards and forward in a pleasantly comical demonstration. There after, you will drive back to your hotel for an overnight. You can rest your tired legs and restorative massage, offered from the gorilla tracking experience!

Day 3: Drive Back to Kampala.

Pass By: Kampala Fair, 25 Bukoto Street (next to Alliance Française), Kampala Uganda
After breakfast, drive (8 hour drive) back to Kampala with a stopover for lunch en-route and at the Eqautor if you happened to miss it on your 1st day. Here you will have the water experience and visit some crafts market in case your interested in buying some souvenoirs. Your guide will therefore proceed to Kampala and will drop you back at your accommodation in Kampala or Entebbe at any place of your choice.
