Our 3 Day Murchison falls hot air balloon safari is specially designed for those clients with a limited number of days or a weekend out program and would like to explore Murchison Falls National Park in Northern Uganda.
Murchison Falls National Park is one of the best National Parks, where one can have an opportunity to see lions, leopards, giraffes, elephants, hippos, crocodile, and antelopes among others.

Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

Stop At: Murchison Falls National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Western Region
Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s best-known and biggest nature reserve. With the impressive and powerful Murchison waterfall and its remarkable animal populations, this is a must visit in the Pearl of Africa.
There are superb activities on offer such as a boat safari or Delta safari on the Nile. The river divides the park between a Northern and Southern section as it makes its way through multiple rapids and waterfalls to Lake Albert.

Day 2: Murchison Falls Hot Air Balloon Safari and Boat Cruise to the base of the falls

Stop At: Murchison Falls National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Western Region
An Early start at around 6AM after breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the launch base of the hot air balloon before dawn.
As the Balloon is being assembled, you will be offered a cup of tea or coffee. Once this is done, the pilot will give you a short briefing, you will get on board and start your hot air balloon safari.
Imagine the experience of observing all these animals, the beautiful rivers, trees and the sun rise some meters above. This whole experience may take from 45 minutes to one hour exploring Murchison Falls National Park.
After landing, you will be given certificates and a full on bush breakfast.
Transfer to your Lodge for relaxation, lunch and an afternoon boat cruise to the base of the falls. You will set of from Paraa jetty up stream to the base of the falls where water squeezes itself through a small gorge exploding to create what has been called the strongest waterfall on planet earth. The journey to and from the base of the falls will provide an opportunity to see many water and land animals that include buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, several water birds, elephants among others.
Retire to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Drive to Kampala/Entebbe

Stop At: Murchison Falls National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Western Region
After breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala/Entebbe at leisure with a choice of visiting the top of the falls to observe it from above.
Lunch will be served en route arriving Kampala/Entebbe in the afternoon.
Drive time: Approximately 5-6 hours

Duration: 10 hours

Stop At: Rhino Fund Uganda ( Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary), Gulu Highway Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Nakitoma Uganda
On the way back to Kampala, we canj stop at the wonderful Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to hangout with the beautiful rhinos in their natural habitat. Please note this is optional and carries an extra fee
