Face the Silver back in the jangle, Mountain gorillas are listed as endangered species on the Red-list, and they are endemic to East Africa particularly in Uganda, Rwanda and D.R.C (Congo). Bwindi impenetrable national park a World Heritage Site welcomes all kind of guests in search of the enchanting mountain gorillas. Spend 3 days inside and on the edges of the forest, spotting monkeys, birds and other wildlife and mountain gorillas of course. On this life time safari, you will get a chance to mingle with the indigenous people (Batwa) who used to inhabit the Bwindi forest.

Itinerary

Day 1: Drive To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Buhoma Kanungu and Kisoro, Kabale Uganda
Start this amazing day with a delicious early morning Breakfast as you prepare to start your journey to the stunning Bwindi Impenetrable National park, you will have a stopover at the Equator and watch the water demonstration as you proceed will be able to meet a lot of amazing feature such as the fascinating savannah woodland of L. Mburo national park if luck enough see the Zebras grazing, meet the happy and smiling people. You will later have a lunch stop over, stretch and relax then drive to Buhoma community Lodge in the south-western part of Uganda. You cross a beautiful part of the country often referred to as ‘the Switzerland of Africa. Your lodge is deep in the forest with view of the mist falling on the forested mountains. This will undoubtedly be one of the most spectacular views you have ever seen!
Duration: 12 hours

Stop At: Batwa Trail, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park Uganda
Enjoy the culture of the indigenous forest dweller (Batwa people) learn about how the used to survive in the forests for many generations
Duration: 20 hours

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking

Stop At: Bwindi Inpenetrable Forest, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda
Today is the big day prepare yourself for an encounter with one of Bwindi’s gentle giants: the rare mountain gorilla. For most people this is the absolute highlight of their tour in Uganda.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest boasts both mountain gorillas and the only forest in Africa which can make this claim, in fact. It also hosts five other species of primate, species of mammal, butterflies and birds. En route to the gorillas,your guide will point out signs of previous gorilla activity, including dung,nests and chewed bamboo shoots. Your track will be an exciting journey along the forested slopes, intertwined vines, bushes and bamboo before you eventually reach the gorilla family. Coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla is a truly humbling and emotional experience. This is a fantastic and privileged opportunity to get up close and personal with Uganda’s very own ‘Gorillas in the mist.

Day 3: Batwa Experience And Drive Back To Kampala

Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Buhoma Kanungu and Kisoro, Kabale Uganda
Start this day with an early morning breakfast and checkout from the lodge and leave for cultural encounter, for generations, Bwindi dense forests were homes to the indigenous Batwa-hunters-gatherers and fierce warriors who depended on the forest for shelter, food and medicine. Now leads visitors through the forests and introduce them to their old homes and the techniques they used for survival while in the forest. After this experience you will leave for Kampala or Entebbe according to your destination.
