THE BEAUTIFUL EYES has put together the ultimate niche Zanzibar isles photography tour. The isles often affectionately know as the Spice Islands in the Indian Ocean. These two main islands of Unguja and Pemba combined make up Zanzibar  influenced by over two centuries of differing cultures, Phoenicians, Persians, Portuguese, Omani Arabs, Dutch and British have all settled here at one time or another and their influences can be seen locally. Pemba to this day remains little untouched by the stem of tourism Stone Town (Unguja)  the once main historical trade and slave market capital of East Africa is now  a UNESCO  world heritage site with an abundance of amazing colonial architecture with its ever winding alleyways and local markets with its famous Doors and Bazaars. with 3 time photographer of the year winner Jay Groat working wildlife and birding photography, macro lenses.

Day 1) Arrive in Zanzibar welcome dinner and drinks .

Day 2) Entire day boat touring and photographing islands with seafood lunch and options of underwater photography whilst snorkeling (GoPro). Afternoon spend photographing ancient Baobab and fisherman in traditional sailing boats.

Day3) Sunrise photography of Stone Town with walking tour photographing the ancient streets and old doors. Visit the architectural highlights of the area, from The Old Fort to the towering House of Wonders. Pass the former Sultan’s Palace, a Roman Catholic cathedral, and the waterfront Old Dispensary. Afternoon visit Prison Island - Board a motorized boat for Changuu, a picture-perfect tropical island with a tragic legacy of slave internment, prisons, and cholera. Take in white sandy beaches and a forest that’s filled with wildlife, and spot the slow-moving giant tortoises that roam the island. Finish the tour with return transfer to your hotel, arriving by early evening.

Day 4) Sunrise beach photography followed by a 7-hour wildlife outing that combines dolphin-spotting, snorkeling, and a pristine forest reserve. You’ll join a guide for a motorboat tour from a coastal fishing village, then don a snorkel to check out the marine wildlife beneath the waves. Next, head to Jozani Forest Reserve, Zanzibar’s only national park, where old-growth forest is home to the endemic red colobus monkey, as well as hyrax, bush babies, and dozens of species of birds.

 

Day 5) Morning tour photographing the best beach in Zanzibar and some of the local street sellers see the white beach of the north of the island where water never gets low tides. A beach represents an excellent romantic walking, the limpid and crystalline water to enjoy after sun, the numberless shops that are full by the hand works goods. You will have a possibility of visiting the Aquarium of the marine tortoises at Nungwi Village as an optional activity if needed. Enjoy your lovely moment at the beach of Kendwa, swimming, playing, enjoy some fruits and relax at the beach beds of La Grande Luna Beach Bar and Restaurant. Afternoon at leisure.

 

Day 6) Photograph Stone Town early morning and get a chance to photograph some of the local cobblers and tradesman. Afternoon spent photographing the Masai Mara on the beach and in situ.

 

Day 7) Depart for Jhb.
