Itinerary

Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport - Arusha

Pass By: Arusha Region, Arusha Region
Arrive in Kilimanjaro International Airport where our driver guide will transfer you to Arusha City. Located below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, Arusha city is good starting point to the Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara National Park, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Arusha National Park on Mount Meru. Arusha City is a major international diplomatic hub. You will be given a briefing about your Wildlife & Wilderness Safari . Overnight Green Mountain Hotel

Day 2: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Stop At: Tarangire National Park, Tarangire National Park, Arusha Region
Depart with your naturalist guide for Tarangire, Tanzania's third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, and up to six thousand elephant. A bush walk and a cultural visit with the semi-nomadic tribes are also included. Day 3: Karatu - Lake Manyara National Park

Stop At: Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Arusha Region
Early breakfast then depart to Lake Manyara National Park which is of the most beautiful places in Africa. As you enter the gate, the Park is dramatically marked off by lush green vegetation consisting of tall trees of the ground water forest, which provide home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys. Further down, the forest opens up into woodland, grassland, swamps and beyond, the soda lake itself where over 350 species of birds, including the lively flamingo, pelican, sacred ibis, grebe and stork can be viewed (a bird watchers’ paradise). At the southern end of the Park are hot sulphur springs called Maji Moto. Manyara is noted for its numerous buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo, as well as a great variety of smaller animals, and of course the very elusive tree-climbing lions. Late afternoon you will be driven to Karatu Village. Diner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge

Day 4: Marera Valley Lodge - Serengeti National Park

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
After breakfast at the lodge, departure to Serengeti National Park, driving through Ngorongoro Highlands and stopping off to visit the Olduvai Museum. Arrive at Seronera Area for picnic lunch. Afternoon game drive in central Serengeti National Park, probably the greatest park on earth. This park, undoubtedly the most famous in the world, covers over 14 000 sq. km and offers among st many other things the biggest concentration of big cats in the world (Cheetahs, Lions, Leopards, Wild cats…). Many different landscapes can be found in the Serengeti: Savannah with the big plains to the south, hills & woods to the west, the kopjes area to the east, and bush land to the north. Important rivers (Seronera, Banagi, Grumeti ) also run through the park. Many different species of mammals can be spotted during game drives, elephant, buffalo, giraffes, antelopes… hippo and crocodile can also be found. Diner and overnight Serengeti Katikati Luxury Tented Camp or similar.

Day 5: Full day Serengeti National Park

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
We will have two game drives on this day. Very early Morning and evening game drives through the Serengeti plains. Serengeti is perhaps the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. These vast, seemingly unending plains are inhabited during the migration by enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, impala, buffalo, birds and up to ten thousand elephant. Dinner and Overnight Serengeti Heritage Tented Luxury Camp.

Day 6: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
Morning departure to Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the 100-square-mile Ngorongoro Crater to view game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. The bottom of the crater dotted with watering-holes, shelters almost 30 000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the slopes of the volcano. You will find the Big Five lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard among others. Ngorongoro crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and surrounded by very steep walls rising 610 meter from the floor, it is considered to be one of the Wonders of the Natural World and is a veritable haven for wildlife. Spectacular animal life can be found throughout the year due to the permanent availability of grass and water. Picnic lunch, overnight at Marera Valley Lodge

Day 7: Marera Valley Lodge - Arusha National Park - Kilimanjaro International Airport

Stop At: Arusha National Park, Arusha National Park, Arusha Region
This morning drive to Arusha National Park for game viewing. The park is dominated by Mount Meru, Africa’s fifth highest mountain, 4,565m. There is a good range of animal species represented; you can expect to see hippos, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, waterbucks, and bushbucks, although more interesting sightings such as reedbucks, leopards and hyenas are much more occasional. They are also quite alkaline and therefore provide a year-round breeding area for flamingoes.
