Cultural and Wildlife Camping Safari 3 Days 2 Nights

A great opportunity to visit local tribes and experience first-hand their way of life. This tour also offers the chance to see a wide range of wildlife species. This tour can be customised depending on the client's interests.

Itinerary

Day 1: Lake Manyara National Park

Stop At: Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Arusha Region
Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its tree-climbing lions. The only kind of their species in the world, they make the ancient acacias their home, and are a well-known feature of the park. The national park is also home to the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world. The alkaline soda of Lake Manyara draws an incredible array of bird life that thrives on its waters. Pink flamingo, yellow-billed storks, and other birds can be seen here.

After your breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you travel southwest to Lake Manyara National Park for your wildlife game drive. Picnic lunch is provided in the park. After your game drive you travel to your campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Eyasi

Stop At: Lake Eyasi, Karatu Tanzania
Lake Eyasi is a seasonal salt lake at the base of the Serengeti Plateau, just south of the Serengeti National Park. The Hadzabe bushmen live in this region, as do the Datoga and Mbulu tribes. A visit with the bushmen is worthwhile, offering visitors the opportunity to learn how they live and hunt. They subsist entirely off the bush and by bow hunting. Their bows are strung with giraffe tendon and their arrows coated in lethal poison. Their language resembles that of Kalahari bushmen tribe, with clicking noises used.

After breakfast at your campsite, you travel to Lake Eyasi for a visit to local tribes. A picnic lunch will be provided. After your visit to the tribal communities, you will proceed to your campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
Ngorongoro Crater, a deep, volcanic crater, which is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world, is a breathtaking natural wonder. The Ngorongoro Crater sinks to a depth of 610 metres, with a base area covering 260 square kilometres. The crater is home to over 25,000 large animals including black rhinoceros. There are wildebeests, zebras, eland and Grant's and Thomson's gazelles. The crater also has a dense population of lions. In the rainforest of the crater rim are leopards, elephants, mountain reedbuck, buffalos, spotted hyenas, jackals, rare wild dogs, cheetahs, and other felines.

After breakfast at your campsite, you travel to Ngorongoro Crater. You descend into the crater for your wildlife game drive. Picnic lunch in the crater will be provided. After your game drive you exit the crater and return to Arusha.
