In the flawless national parks of Tanzania, Mother Nature is at her most crude and amazing. Magnificent lions, panthers, cheetahs and elephants meander nimbly along old fields, while red-shrouded Masai warriors watch out for their groups and the hover of life unfurls in an interminable movement.

Itinerary

Day 1: Moshi to Rongai

Stop At: Mount Kilimanjaro, Kilimanjaro National Park 00255 Tanzania
Pick up from your hotel drive for two hours and half to Marangu park gate for formalities registration after that transfer to the Rongai trail head in about 3hours. Meet your guide and porters before you begin your hike from the NaleMoru village. The small winding path crosses maize fields before entering pine forest, and then climbs gently through a forest. The trail is not at all steep, but is rather a gentle hike through beautiful country. The first night’s camp is at Simba camp, at about 2,600 meters. There is a toilet and a wooden table with benches, but no hut. Water can be found just down the trail below samba camp.

Day 2: Simba camp to Second Cave

Stop At: Mount Kilimanjaro, Kilimanjaro National Park 00255 Tanzania
Late Breakfast, enjoy the morning at Simba camp proceed with the hiking very slowly acclimatize your body until you reach Second cave (3450M ) for hot lunch. Afternoon relax at second cave with dinner and overnight.

Late Breakfast, enjoy the morning at Simba camp proceed with the hiking very slowly acclimatize your body until you reach Second cave (3450M ) for hot lunch. Afternoon relax at second cave with dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Second Cave to Kikelelwa

Stop At: Mount Kilimanjaro, Kilimanjaro National Park 00255 Tanzania
After breakfast then continues up towards Kibo, reaching Kikelelwa Cave at about 3600 meters. The views start to open up and you begin to feel you’re on a really big mountain! Water is in the obvious stream below the cave, although you might have to wander downhill a way to find some.

Day 4: Kikelelwa to turn hut

Stop At: Mount Kilimanjaro, Kilimanjaro National Park 00255 Tanzania
A short but steep climb up grassy slopes offers superb views of this wilderness area. The vegetation zone ends shortly before you reach your next camp at Mawenzi Tarn spectacularly situated beneath the towering spires of Mawenzi. Spend the afternoon acclimatizing and exploring the area.

Day 5: Mawenzi tarn hut to Kibo hut

Stop At: Mount Kilimanjaro, Kilimanjaro National Park 00255 Tanzania
Continue ascending on the east side of Kibo crossing the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo taking 4 to 5 hours to reach Kibo Hut. The remainder of the day is spent resting in preparation for the final ascent, which begins around midnight.

Day 6: Summit attempt, Kibo hut then Horombo hut

Stop At: Mount Kilimanjaro, Kilimanjaro National Park 00255 Tanzania
You will wake up around 23h30, and after some tea and biscuits you shuffle off into the night. This is where the going really gets tough. The first section of the trail consists of a rocky path to the Hans Meyer Cave (5150m), also a good resting spot. The path then zigzags up to Gillman’s point (5 681m), which is located on the crater rim. This section is very steep with a lot of stone scree, requiring a great physical and mental effort. Probably the most demanding section of the entire route. From Gillman’s Point you will normally encounter snow all the way up to Uhuru peak (5895m), the highest point in Africa. Total exhilaration and satisfaction – you madeit. Weather conditions on the summit will determine how long you can spend, taking photographs, before the 3-hour descent back to Kibo hut for a short rest ten after you descent to Horombo hut (3 hours) where you will overnight. The descent to Horombo hut will seem surprisingly fast compared to the ascent. The total time spent walking on this day is around almost 14 hours, . Later in the evening you enjoy your last dinner on the mountain and well-earned sleep.

Day 7: Horombo hut to Marangu Gate

Stop At: Mount Kilimanjaro, Kilimanjaro National Park 00255 Tanzania
After breakfast you continue your descent (6 hours), passing the Mandara hut, down to the Marangu gate. At Marangu gate you sign your name and details in a register. This is also where successful climbers receive their summit certificates. Those climbers who reached Gillman’s Point (5685m) are issued with green certificates and those who reached Uhuru Peak (5895m) receive gold certificates. You now drive back to Moshi where your trekking tour ends with sweet memories.

Day 8: Moshi to lake manyara

Stop At: Lake Manyara National Park Tanzania
After breakfast you are met by our tour guide/driver, who will deliver a short safari briefing. You will be driving to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive with our picnic lunch. Upon your arrival Manyara you will be welcomed by the Great Rift Valley Escarpment view and fun makers' baboon at the entrance of Manyara in large groups. We will travel through the agricultural and fresh produce market town of Mto Wa Mbu, which is situated next to the entrance of the Lake Manyara National Park. The town is a souvenir hunters paradise, harboring thousands souvenir salesmen - ready to pounce at your slightest invitation. The Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania's most dramatically located African wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley's western escarpment. The park's varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals; including one of Africa's densely populated of herd of African elephant, famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the lake. We will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and do two exciting morning and afternoon game drives, in search of the wildlife and bird-life that Manyara host along with a view of famous hot spring known as "Maji Moto". Late afternoon you will be transferred to Lake Manyara Hotel or Lake Manyara Serena lodge for hot shower, dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Lake Manyara National Park - Ngorongoro Crater

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
Early in the morning after your breakfast at the hotel you will meet your driver guide for safari briefing. He will give you an overview of the safari before starting driving to Ngorongoro Conservation Area where Ngorongoro crater is located at. Ngorongoro crater is contiguous to Lake Manyara National Park and it needs about an hour or two to reach there. You will have all the formalities of the authority before descending to the crater floor with your picnic lunch. Ngorongoro crater is famous for its different attraction which includes alkaline lakes, forest, and different vegetation, hot springs, different kinds of wildlife and birdlife and its landscape. Among the common wildlife in the crater includes; lion, leopard, zebra, elephant, African buffalo, warthog, hyena, wild dogs, the rare black rhino, wildebeest and varieties of migratory and resident birdlife whereby more than 350 different species have been recorded. You will both have memorable morning game drive and full afternoon game drive before ascending to the crater rim for transfer to the lodge for hot shower

Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater/ Masai Village / Arusha Town

Stop At: Arusha Village Experience, Arusha Tanzania
In the morning after breakfast you will have a chance to visit the Maasai Village of Ngorongoro with your picnic lunch. You will have chance to integrate with them and their daily activities including learning their culture and take some photos with them. Maasai community is among the few remaining communities (tribes) in Tanzania that practice their culture of early human development. Not only that they are the warriors as most of them passes the Ngorongoro crater with their cattle without fearing the wild animals that crater floor has including the dangerous lions. In the afternoon you will drive back to Arusha passing again the Lake Manyara National Park and the famous Mto Wa Mbu village. We will be arriving at Arusha late afternoon and take you to your hotel or transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for flight back home.
