Camp or Lodge Safari 8 Days

Day 1: Moshi – Tarangire National Park

Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Lake Eyasi:

Day 3: Track the Hadzabe bushmen – Ngorongoro Conservation Area:

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater  - Serengeti NP

Day 5: Central Serengeti

Day 6: Serengeti – Lake Natron

Day 7: Lake Natron – Oldoinyo Lengai Climb

Some sections of the climb will require you to use your hands to pull yourself up on therefore we recommend the following packing list
• Good hiking boots and gators
• Day Pack to carry 3 litres of water/person  and snacks
• Gloves to protect your hands
• Headtorch
• Walking poles

Day 8: Lake Natron - Moshi

Day 1: Moshi – Tarangire National Park

We will pick up you up from your hotel in Moshi at 8:30am to head to Tarangire National Park. You will be provided with a picnic lunchbox, arriving at the park late morning before enjoying a game drive for the rest of the day. After your fill of wildlife you will head to your campsite.  

Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Lake Eyasi:

Rise early to enjoy a morning game drive in this beautiful park.  Late morning you will leave the park to drive to Lake Eyasi (approximately 3 hour drive).  This afternoon you can meet the Datoga tribe, famous for being the ‘blacksmiths of Tanzania’. Later afternoon your guide can talk you for a walking safari around the edge of the lake.  You will have dinner prepared by your safari chef and overnight at Lake Eyasi campsite. 

Day 3: Track the Hadzabe bushmen – Ngorongoro Conservation Areai: 

Following an early breakfast at the campsite you will take a walk through the scattered bush to the Bushmen’s home. After spending the morning with the Hadzabe you will head back to the campsite for lunch before heading off to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.  Arrive on the edge of the crater rim to set up camp at Simba Campsite. 

 

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater  - Serengeti NP

Another early start this morning to descend into the Crater floor for a game drive when the wildlife are most active.  Your lunch will be served at the picnic site in the crater. Mid-afternoon you will ascend the crater to drive through to Serengeti National Park, setting up camp in the central Seronera region.

Day 5: Central Serengeti

The Serengeti’s name means ‘endless plains’ – there is definitely plenty to explore.  The central region is well known for being a great place to spot big cats as well as plenty of other wildlife.  Enjoy a full day game drive in this region, with a lunchbox provided.  Return to camp for dinner and overnight. 

Day 6: Serengeti – Lake Natron 

Today is a long drive but heading through some wonderfully scenic and remote areas.  You will arrive at Lake Natron campsite in the late evening for dinner before heading to bed.

Day 7: Lake Natron – Oldoinyo Lengai Climb

Head down to the lake to witness this site famous for flamingo breeding or head off on a hike to the waterfalls or surrounding village areas.  Rest up in the afternoon for your evening trek of the still active volcano Oldoinyo – Lengai 

Day 8: Lake Natron - Moshi

Following breakfast at the camp you will commence your drive back to Arusha/Moshi (arrive late evening).
