Go away from the busy City of Taipei and visit the northern part of the Country. Explore Keelung City and the park where you can have a commanding view of the city. You can’t miss a 80 foot tall Buddha Statue message of compassion and peace and the Goddess of Mercy. You will also have an experience in being surrounded by different rock formations at Yeliou Geopark.
The eastern part of Taiwan has some of the most beautiful scenery. You will visit Taroko Gorge, as well as other scenic attractions, such as Eternal Spring Shrine, Swallow Grotto, and Cisingtan Scenic Area.

Itinerary

Day 1: Taipei-Hualien

Stop At: Yehliu Geopark, 207, Taiwan, New Taipei City, Wanli District, 港東路167-1號
Pick up from Hotel~Keelung Harbor, Yeliou & Northern Coast Tour (Hotel~40 min drive~Yehliu Scenic Park (Queen’s Head Rock)~Chung Cheng Park~Buddha Statue)~Taipei Main Station entrain to Hualien~Hualien Station~Hotel

Queen's Head Rock
Queen's Head is a landmark mushroom rock formation at Yehliu Geopark. Between 1962 and 1963, the top concretion split to give the stone its current graceful form. Seen from a distance, the rock resembles a bust of Queen Elizabeth with a long slender neck and beautiful facial lines, hence the name. The neck of the rock has thinned with natural weathering over the decades. Plans are now underway to reinforce the rock to ensure it survives as a landmark for years to come.

Day 2: Hualien-Taipei

Taroko Gorge National Park
Named after the local Truku aboriginal tribe, Taroko National Park is one of Taiwan’s most beautiful sights. Created by the continual rising of the mountains combined with the erosive power of the Liwu River, Taroko Gorge with its tall, almost flat walls are a true marvel to view. Besides the gorge, other attractions include aboriginal settlements, temples, museums, and numerous hiking trails for visitors to experience the true beauty of mountainous Hualien County and eastern Taiwan.
