Day 1: Sigiriya

Stop At: Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress, Sigiriya 21120 Sri Lanka
Sigiriya or Sinhagiri (Lion Rock Sinhala, pronounced see-gi-ri-ya) is an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres (660 ft) high.

Stop At: Ibbankatuwa Megalithic Tombs, Kurunegala-Dambulla Road, Dambulla 21100 Sri Lanka
Ibbankatuwa Megalithic Tombs site is an ancient burial site located near Ibbankatuwa Wewa in Galewela DS, Sri Lanka. The site is believed to be belongs to the megalithic prehistoric and protohistoric periods of Sri Lanka and considered as one of the several ancient burial sites that have been found in the country.

The prehistoric period of Sri Lanka ranges from 250,000 – 1,000 BC. The transition period between the end of the prehistoric period and the commencement of the historic period is known as the protohistoric period. The Ibbankatuwa tomb site was first identified in 1970[3] by the Archaeological Department who carried out the Radiocarbon dating of the remnants found in the site have revealed that these tombs dated back to 700 – 400 B.C. time periods. After that a number of archaeological excavations were carried out in 1983–1984 and again between 1988 and 1990.

Day 2: Kandy City Tour

Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha.

Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya is about 5.5 km to the west of the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It attracts 2 million visitors annually. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. Attached to it is the National Her barium of Sri Lanka. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres

Stop At: Kandy Lake Club - Cultural Dance Show, 7 Sangamitta Mawatha, Kandy 20000 Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka, a country with a rich culture & traditions, offer a very vibrant and unique show of Sri Lankan traditional dances in the form of Kandy cultural show.
A dance from "Salupliya" depicting several demons, "Thelme" vibrant expression of low country rhythm, Fire and Harvest dances accompanied by Ceremonial Drums and the Drum Orchestra rising and falling to the lively tempo. As many as 12 different folk and traditional dances are performed by the Kandy lake club dance troop within an hour.
The highlight of the show is definitely the fire walking show, where the artists walk through a specially prepared fire pit (an 8 by 3 feet covered with red-hot charcoal) completely barefoot and emerges unharmed at the other end! The official brochure by Kandy cultural show describes the fire walking as having its roots in the Valmiki's epic of "Ramayana", where the king of Lanka the great Ravana abducts "Sita" the wife of Indian prince Rama and after regaining her in an epic battle with Ravana, she was made to prove her chastity by walking through fire barefoot, though the current devotees who perform fire walking in Sri Lanka seek the divine blessings of the Lord Karthekeyan & goddess Pathini.
Kandy cultural show is a great way to spend the evening in Kandy, arrive a little early to secure the front row center seats and the Bar attached to the hall will undoubtedly raise your spirits while you wait for the show.

You will climb the hill by Kandy Lake to reach Kandy view point and receive a view of the city that cannot be beaten.

"Kandy City Centre" Commercial and Shopping Complex at Dalada Veediya, Kandy is the most modern commercial complex in Sri Lanka. The Complex is designed with ultra modern features yet preserving the iconic Kandyan architecture. Several leading banks, a fully equipped supermarket, a variety of restaurants, an entertainment zone, a well designed state of the art food court will also feature in the Complex.

Kandy lake , also known as Kiri Muhuda or the Sea of Milk, is an artificial lake in the heart of the hill city of Kandy, Sri Lanka, built in 1807 by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe next to the Temple of the Tooth. Over the years, it was reduced in size. It is a protected lake, with fishing banned.
