Belgrade Full Day Private Layover Tour with Round-Trip Airport or Hotel Transfers

Arriving in Belgrade in early morning hours and need to wait for your next flight? Rather than waste your time at the airport, use this unique opportunity and enjoy a beautiful city that has so much to offer you. Feel like a local and meet new people. This tour is a combination of driving and walking, so you can experience the city in the most genuine sense!

A representative will wait for you at the airport. The full day Layover tour has been created in order for you to experience one day in Belgrade as a local. Your guide will share with you many interesting stories about the history, religion, customs, food, and way of life so you can leave with a better understanding of the Serbian peoples and our history.

The airport is approx. 20 min drive to your first stop Zemun, an old part of the city that developed under the influence of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. If you arrive in the early morning hours, it is a perfect time to start with a visit to the green market, a place full of organic vegetables, fruits, domestic cheese and “kajmak”. The ideal choice for breakfast! After enjoying the local products, you will walk through the narrow cobblestone streets lined with beautiful houses and reach the famous Millennium Tower in Zemun, on Gardos. From here you will enjoy the beautiful view of “The Blue Danube”.

On your way to the historic city center, you will pass through New Belgrade, the modern part of the city, and today’s commercial and residential center. You will walk through the main pedestrian zone, Prince Michael Street, where many boutiques and souvenir shops are located. Passing next to the Republic Square, you will reveal you the most interesting stories about Serbian history. Along the way to the Belgrade fortress is “Kafana” the oldest restaurant in the city, where you can try Serbian cup of Serbian domestic coffee. After a break, you will continue to the fortress, the place from which Belgrade originated. From here spreads a breathtaking view on the confluence of two Rivers, the Sava and Danube.

After you’ve had a chance to walk around the fortress, relax and enjoy the panoramic sightseeing you will pass through the main streets of the city. You will be shown where the National Parliament, City Hall, and many buildings that were bombed at the end of the 20th century are located.

Your next stop is the biggest Orthodox Church in the Balkans, the Temple of St. Sava. Although it is still under construction, it is one of the most visited attractions in the city.

Before returning you to the airport, you can have a break for refreshments or lunch. You will be taken to the airport/hotel just in time for your next flight.

Note: Please, if you would like to visit another museum or location, please share that with your guide. He will do his best to adjust the program.
