Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Transfer To Kigali Hotel.

Pass By: Kigali International Airport, KN 5 Rd, Kigali, Rwanda
Following your arrival at Kigali International Airport, our company representative with your driver/ guide will be waiting to welcome you and later transfer to your hotel in Kigali city.

Arrive at Hotel Des Mille Collines for check in; Dinner & overnight.

Day 2: Kigali City Tour & Transfer To Volcanoes National Park.

Stop At: Kigali Genocide Memorial, KG 14 Ave, Kigali Rwanda
08:30 Am, Breakfast at the hotel

09:30 Am, after morning breakfast, before making your way northwards to the Virunga Mountains, you will embark on a city tour of the cleanest and friendliest city in Africa. The tour offers in-depth knowledge of Kigali’s bitter past and its bright future assuring that you feel a connection with the vibrant city’s heartbeat.

Lunch at one of the best restaurant in town. Then after you will be transferred by road to Volcanoes National Park in the north western side of the country. The transfer to your lodge in Musanze is between 2 and 3 hours driving through scenic landscape with vistas of the Virunga volcanoes.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience.

Stop At: Volcanoes National Park, kinigi, Ruhengeri, Rwanda
06:00 Am, Breakfast at the hotel 06:30 Am, after an early breakfast, your driver guide will transfer your to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for registration and briefing. Your driver guide will assist and facilitate on identifying gorilla family to visit.

Tracking can be between 90 minutes – 6 Hours depending on what family group assigned. You will spend 1 hour with the Gorillas – sometimes moving around to stay with the gorillas or following them. The guide will ensure you are in the best spots to take the most beautiful pictures and experience the breathtaking experience properly.

You will then drive back to the hotel for lunch and refreshment.

Later in the afternoon, you will visit the twin lakes. These beautiful twin lakes are located at the base Volcano Muhabura and close to the border of Rwanda and Uganda in the northern part of Rwanda, on the outskirts of Musanze. Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo are separated by a 1 km wide strip of land. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking & Cultural Safari.

Stop At: Volcanoes National Park, Musanze Kinigi, Ruhengeri Rwanda
06:00 Am, Breakfast at the hotel

06:30 Am, after an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for your second experience with different endangered species in the volcanoes ‘Golden monkeys’ It is normally an easy trek which might take between 45 minutes to 2 hours.

You will then drive back to your hotel for lunch and Refreshment.

Later in the afternoon, you will visit Gorilla Guardians former Iby’iwacu cultural village. This cultural village displays a traditional lifestyle of a Rwandan including dress code, food growing, processing and preparation, their wedding traditional ceremonies and interpersonal relationship within the community.

Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Ruhengeri / Musanze City Tour & Transfer Back To Kigali.

Stop At: Karisoke Research Center - Dian Fossey Camp, Volcanoes National Park, Ruhengeri Rwanda
09:00 Am, Breakfast at the hotel

10:00 Am, after morning breakfast, you will embark on a city tour of the beautiful Ruhengeri, you will be able to visit the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International office in Musanze town and the market. After the city tour, return to hotel for lunch.

Later drive back to Kigali city, stopover a couple of Craft shops to buy souvenir. Proceed to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight.
