Sanduny is the oldest and most luxurious banya (hot bath) in the city. The Gothic Room is a work of art with its rich woodcarving, while the main shower room has an aristocratic Roman feel to it. You will find a rococo hall, a Moorish hall inside. In addition, a terrific love story lies behind their construction (our guide will definitely tell you it). Itinerary

It's a customisable walking tour around Moscow city center and a visit of Sanduny banyas (bath house). If you ever wanted to experience traditional Russian banya that's an experience for you! Sanduny is the most famous and arguably the best Russian banya in the world. Staff is pro, architecture and interior decoration is as splendid as it was in the 19th century and food is delicious. You will learn how to use venik, how to deal with the heat and should you drink vodka before or after banya (if ever)! :) The tour includes Parenie, a traditional and invigorating thermal treatment which involves a leafy bundle of birch, oak or eucalyptus twigs (called venik) being brushed over your body. Ultimately, the result is a boost of circulation that will help relieve muscle tension, stress and joint pain. The oils also have an anti-inflammatory effect, are said to calm the nervous system and will help to reduce high blood pressure.
