Private Drive Off Road Experience Santo da Serra and Pico do Areeiro FullDay

Test your off-road driving skills behind the wheel of a cool & classic Fiat Panda 4x4 in our 8h Private Safari Tour. Off-Roading is really fun & easy with the help of our guide. With us you'll be able to not only drive off-road but also experience a lot of sightseeing in Garajau, Santo da Serra & Pico do Areeiro (in between Laurel Forest, UNESCO World Heritage Centre). We'll teach you how to cook our typical Madeira Barbecue, Espetada and we'll end with a Poncha (local beverage) taste at the end for the full local experience

Private Tour up to 3 people with guide.
• Visit Madeira from the sea to the highest mountains.
• Drive Off-Road in Laurel Forest, World Heritage Center from UNESCO.
• We'll teach you the basics of off-road driving.
• We'll teach you how to cook Espetada, our typical barbecue.
• We'll stop for a Poncha tasting in a local bar.

We'll pick you up and then we go straight to Garajau, where the adventure will begin. In Garajau we'll experience a wonderful view at Miradouro do Cristo-Rei, where we have a massive statue of Jesus Christ.

We'll slowly climb to Santo da Serra, trough the old roads where you'll see the untouched Madeira, that remains the same over the years.

Now it's time to enter the Laurissilva florest. It's classified as World Heritage Site by Unesco, because of it's exclusiveness, most of the plants you will only find in Madeira. This is where you can fill your lungs with real, pure, unpolluted fresh air.

At the same time we'll start our off-road adventure, after a small security briefing. We'll explain to you the basics of Off-Road Driving and then you'd jump to the driver's seat.

We'll pass through Fajã das Vacas to do a small Levada and go towards Portela on a path full of beauty and fun. Most of the year this path is full with water so, with mud and water, fun is guaranteed.

Still off roading we'll be heading towards Santo António da Serra, to cook our own lunch, a traditional Espetada, only if you want to of course. It's time to taste a nice Poncha (Poncha is a local alcoholic drink made with sugar cane rum) while the lunch is made.

After this we will go to Poiso, trough one of Madeiras more beautiful roads where we will taste a nice poncha to help us digest our lunch. This is a must stop place in Madeira.

After we'll be heading to Pico do Areeiro to see the sights from Madeira's second highest peak. On a good day you'll experience a nice view over the clouds or a 360º view of Madeira. This is  a must visit point of Madeira.

At the end of all of this, we´re going back to Funchal trough the old roads where you can just rest your eyes on the landscape.
