The Madeira® Mandolin Orchestra enters the Madeiran Carnival revelry
through its already traditional Carnival Concert. Inserted in the Carnival 2020 festivities of Madeira Island, the Orchestra will present a program of classical music with some of the most traditional rhythms of carnival festivities to the sound of mandolins. “It's Carnival, nobody takes it to Mal!”

The Madeira Mandolin Orchestra (OBM) ® was founded in 1913 and
composed of 30 musicians, aged between 13 and 46 years. Since then, it has been recognized as the oldest and youngest Mandolin Orchestra in Europe, a distinction of relevance in a region of excellence within the European community.
