- Historic Districts - Neighborhoods of Alfama and Castelo with their narrow and picturesque streets, as well as some of the best viewpoints of the city; Lisbon Cathedral, one of the oldest buildings in the city; Sao Jorge's Castle; Church of São Vicente de Fora.
- Lower and riverside area - The impressive Commerce Square, 'gateway' to the neighborhood of Baixa; Rio Tejo, which surrounds most of the historic center of the city; Praça do Rossio, Figueira and Restauradores; Avenida da Liberdade with the best shops and hotels; Praça do Marquês de Pombal.
