Fátima is a Portuguese city located in Serra de Aire, parish headquarters, subdivision of the municipality of Ourém, in the Beira Litoral province, Central region and Middle Tagus sub-region, with an area of 71.29 km² and 11 596 inhabitants ( 2011). [1] Its population density is 162.7 inhab / km². Its worldwide fame is due to the account of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary reported by three shepherds from May 13 to October 13, 1917.

Santa Maria da Vitória Monastery (better known as Batalha Monastery [1]) is a monastery located in the village of Batalha, in the Centro region, Beira Litoral province, in Portugal, which was built in 1386 by King D. John I of Portugal [2] as thanks to the Virgin Mary for the victory against the Castilian rivals in the battle of Aljubarrota. [2] This monastery of the Order of Saint Dominic was built over two centuries until about 1563, during the reign of seven kings of Portugal, although the first Dominican friars had lived there since 1388. An example of late Gothic Portuguese architecture, or Manueline style, is considered a world heritage site by UNESCO, and on 7 July 2007 was elected as one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal.

Sítio da Nazaré is today a neighborhood of the village of Nazaré, in the West region and district of Leiria, in Portugal.

In 2007 the Óbidos Castle was declared by the Seven Wonders of Portugal contest the second of the seven most important monuments of Portuguese architectural heritage.

On December 11, 2015 UNESCO considered Óbidos as a literary city, as part of the Creative Cities Network program.
