Climbing Rappelling

What is rock climbing?
Climbing is an activity that consists of quadrupedal progression on a vertical plane, where physical involvement is characterized by informal complexity linked to the randomness of prey arrangement and wall formation, which gives it great uncertainty. It is an activity characterized by the risk, particularly of falling, in which the safety of the climber must be a fundamental factor.

What is rappel?
Rappel is a French word meaning "call" or "retrieve" and was used to baptize the technique of rope descent. The term came from the explanation of rappel "creator" Jean Charlet-Stranton, circa 1879, when explaining the technique: "je tirais vivement par se bouts la corde qui, se se rappelle ...." which means "When I got close to my companions I would pull the rope tightly at one end and bring it back to me ...".
