Day 1: Tarapoto - Tour 1

Stay for 2 nights 3 days in Puma Rinri Amazon Lodge (with transfer, breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Duration: 3 days

Stop At: Central Huallaga Special Project and Bajo Mayo, Cooperholta, Tarapoto 22202, Peru
It lasts approximately 3 hours, its difficulty is low, it is recommended to bring fresh clothes, swimwear, sunglasses, insect repellent and sunscreen. The two main rivers of San Martin are the Huallaga and a tributary of it, the Mayo. Its meeting point is located near the Pumarinri, which makes it easier for us to navigate both in a tour in which we will depart from the Huallaga canyons, to cross the rapids of the Estero and arrive at the peaceful and winding May. On this walk we can see from mountains covered with jungle, riverside towns such as Shapaja and livestock farms with zebu from India. In the rainy months, the rivers are more powerful and charged with water. In the summer months, they invite us to enjoy its beaches and its abundant fishing. At all times we will be accompanied by birds, so, with the help of binoculars and a list of the most frequent species, we will become birdwatchers for a day. Herons, toucans, the colorful shansho or the infallible kingfisher are waiting for us.

Day 2: Tarapoto - Tour 2

Stop At: Catarata Pucayaquillo, Tarapoto 22221 Peru
It lasts approximately 3.5 hours, has an average difficulty; They are recommended to wear boots or appropriate footwear, cool and comfortable clothes for walking, bathing clothes, water, hat, sunglasses, insect repellent and sunscreen. We will encounter dart frogs of bright colors, rows of curuhuinsis carrying cut leaves and, of course, the "respected" ants isulas. The final prize is an invigorating swim in the crystal clear waters of the waterfall, watching the dance of a morpho butterfly, with its electric blue, among a lush green.
