The World Peace Stupa is a popular destination southwest of Pokhara, situated at an altitude of 975 meters. Visitors can enjoy views of the Himalayan peaks, as well as Phewa Lake and Pokhara Valley.

Hiking to the World Peace Stupa is a good warm-up if you’re going into a longer trek around the Annapurna Region. The round trip gives a real insight into how a trek looks like and trains you up for the long steep slopes of the more challenging in Himalayas.

There are some optional way to reach Stupa one can do a panoramic hiking for two hours from Damside, Pokhara, along a trail through the forest while you walk along jungle you will enjoy many specious birds watching, second cross the Fewa Lake by boat about 40 minutes hike upwards about one hour go down to Phewa Lake along the Stupa Walkway or drive back.

World Peace Stupa in Pokhara is the first World Peace Pagoda in Nepal and seventy-first pagoda built by Nipponzan-Myōhōji in the world. The pagoda is 115 feet tall and 344 feet in diameter. The white pagoda has two tiers for tourists and religious visitors to circumambulate. The top of the golden Gajur holds the crystal stone from Sri Lanka which symbolizes intellect and grace. Dhamma hall, with the Buddha statue, is located near the peace pagoda where Buddhist rituals take place daily and large pujas are performed on important dates according to the Lunar calendar, such as on full moon day.
