Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Stop At: Narantuul Hotel, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Whenever, your international flight lands in city airport, you will be transferred to the hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Free at leisure for the rest of the day. You may need some time to relax and recover from the long-distance flight or possibly from jet-lag. If you feel like going for a walk and checking out places nearby, feel free to inform us and our guide will help you. Accommodation: Hotel 3*. Meals: not included this day

Day 2: Bayan Gobi sand dunes

Stop At: Bayanzag Saxual Forest, Mongolia
After breakfast drive to Bayan Gobi magnificent sand dunes – surrounded by hills with willow trees, streams and bushes, and appear as a small desert in the center of the country. This sand dune is 80km long and the widest part of the sand dune is 9-10 km. Also, the sand dune called as mini Gobi.

In the afternoon, we will visit camel herder family and explore their unique nomadic lifestyle. The sand dunes are the perfect place for camel riding. We will discover this magnificent place on camel back. Mongolia is home to 2/3 of the two-humped Bactrian camels in the world. It is a gentle, calm and extraordinary patient animal and can carry on without water for a month. Bet, you never rode a Bactrian camel, riding a Bactrian camel is much more comfortable than the camel in Sahara, India or anywhere else. Its two humps support you from both sides and easy pace will comfort you so much.

Return to the Ger camp near the sand dunes for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Ger camp, and Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 3: Karakorum & Erdene Zuu Buddhist Monastery – Lake Ugii

Stop At: Erdene Zuu Monastery, Kharkhorin 62090 Mongolia
After breakfast, we will drive to Karakorum and Erdenezuu Monastery. Karakorum was not only the capital of the vast Mongolian Empire, but the epic center of trade along Silk Road. However, the Karakorum of today is a small settlement with little focus on tourism. Today there is a museum does show off some of the artefacts they’ve recovered so far,

Upon arrival in the village, we will visit museum of Karakorum and learn about beautiful ancient Karakorum. Then we will visit to the magnificent and the oldest Buddhist Monastery complex of Erdenezuu, built in the 16th century, with 108 stupas. Here you can see interesting listen to monk chanting Buddhist sutras. Return to ger camp and have dinner.

After lunch at the Ger camp, we will take 1.5hrs drive to Ugii Lake – is located up 1337m from the ocean level and it is a pure water steppe lake, which is 7.9km long, 5km wide. The lake Ugii is a famous for its birdlife. Ogii lake has registered in the Ramsar Convention for being important breeding and staging area for a variety of waterfowl.

Check-in Ger camp on shore of the lake. In the late afternoon is free time for your own. There is you can travel by normal boat or motor boat and go for fishing in the lake. Fishing equipment is available from the camp. Or just walking and hiking around the lake.

Day 4: Hustai National Park (Wild Horse Park)

Stop At: Hustai National Park, Ulaanbaatar 13 Mongolia
In the morning, we will drive to the Hustai National Park. This area is home to the Mongolian wild horse known as Perzevalski horse (takhi) with unique landscape that features mountain and steppe
After lunch at Hustai Ger camp, we will visit the small Ger museum about the national park and wild horse. The takhi and marmots are easy to see around 2- 3hrs earlier than sunset, when they come down from mountains for water to stream.

In early evening, we will take short drive and hiking to see the horses in their natural habitat. Seeing these truly wild horses which numbered in the hundreds of thousands of years ago, will make you feel like you have traveled thousands of years back in time. There is great opportunity to take photo for these endangered horses. If you are lucky, you can see fox, deer, roe deer, eagle, and more animals and birds…

Day 5: Genghis Khan’s Statue Complex – Terelj National Park

Stop At: Genghis Khan Statue Complex, Tsonjin Boldog, Ulaanbaatar Mongolia
This day we will head towards to “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. There is a recreation area, restaurants, and souvenir shops occupy the base structure. From here, you can ascend to the head of the horse using an elevator. There you have a good panoramic view over the complex area and the scenery beyond. You are now definitely in Genghis Khan‟s country!

After lunch at the statue complex, we will take short drive to Terelj National Park, which is one of the most visited national parks in Mongolia The National Park is by its natural beauty, forested alpine mountains and

interesting rock formations (Massive woolsack weather conditions) very well known.
Explore the national park and to see Turtle Rock – interesting rock formation looking like a turtle and visit Ariyabal meditation temple – surrounded by scenic mountains with massive rock formations and sits at top of the mountain. From the top, you can enjoy the breathtaking view overlooking the Terelj National Park. Walking, hiking around the camp, explore nature beauties and take photos of colorful wild flowers.

Day 6: Ulaanbaatar Highlight city tour

Stop At: The State Department Store, Peace Avenue-23, 3th khoroo, Chingeltei District, Ulaanbaatar Mongolia
In the morning at 9am, return to Ulaanbaatar. On the way, we will visit Nalaikh settlement to visit local Mosque and Kazakh family. Today in Mongolia, there is a significant minority of Sunni Muslims, constituting as much as 5% of the total population. Most of them are ethnic Kazaks who live primarily in the far western Mongolia and small Kazak community in and around Nalaikh, near Ulaanbaatar.

After lunch in the city, we will visit Sukhbaatar square which is lies at the heart of the city surrounded by important buildings such as government palace, banks and theaters and post office. There is an equestrian statue of Sukhbaatar and a massive Bronze statue of Genghis khan with his four warriors in front of Parliament House

Continue to visit Museum of Mongolian National History – the museum presents Mongolian history and culture from prehistoric times to the present day.

After dinner, you will be transferred to the hotel. Accommodation: Hotel 3*. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
