Stop At: Vittoriosa Waterfront - Birgu Waterfront, Xatt II - Forn, Island of Malta Malta

When the Knights of St. John first settled in Malta in the year 1530, they chose the area known as the Three Cities as their Capital. This would later become the arena for the Great Siege of Malta in 1556 were a bloody war raged for four months against the fleet of the Ottoman Empire.

The group will visit the main of the Three Cities Vittoriosa (known also as Birgu) entering from the Three Gate system door of the fortification. The streets leading to the Castle keep the memories of the brave Knights and their religious military order. Once we depart from Vittoriosa we head to the Blue Grotto, better known as the gem of the South. It’s a natural phenomenon of caves cut into the rocks by the waves of the sea. Its crystal-clear waters give the visitors the chance to see the colourful corals in the beautifully turquoise coloured water. (boat tickets are not included)
