Day 1: KUALA LUMPUR - TAMAN NEGARA (Hotel Recommended: Xcape Resort)

Stop At: Gombak, Batu Caves 68100 Malaysia
Batu Caves is a limestone outcrop and the home of Hindu Deity Lord Subramaniam who is honored during the Hindu festival of Thaipusam every year. Devotees give thanks for vows fulfilled. Ladies to be properly attired to enter the temple - knees and shoulders to be covered.Climb 272 steps for an experience.

Stop At: Taman Negara National Park, Taman Negara National Park

Taman Negara is a 130 million years old tropical rainforest with critically endangered animals as in Tigers, Elephants, Tapirs, Sun Bears, 14,000 flowering plants, 300 bird species and the list is endless.

On arrival at Kuala Tahan, walk up the Canopy Walkway for a bird's eye views of the World;s Oldest Rainforest.The boatman negotiates 7 sets of rapids to reach aborigine village to see fire making skills and blowpipe hunting techniques. The rainforest is their supermarket. Of late they have pledged their support to preserve and conserve the rainforest with help from WWF. The Nature Guide belts out facts and taboos of the jungle as he takes you jungle trekking. He will talk about medicinal and poisonous plants and you may ask him about the elusive aphrodisiacs in the jungle.

Friday Replacements: The 40 minutes jungle trekking will lead you to a mesmerizing rainforest waterfalls deep in the Malaysian jungle. Swim and wallow as the gushing mountain waters caress your skin. Check in to hotel. Follow the Nature guide for the Nite Jungle Walk to look for mouse deer, snakes, insects, scorpions and watch nocturnal animals come for their salt lick. Return to hotel and the Forest Orchestra plays on...

Day 2: RAINFOREST TAMAN NEGARA - CAMERON HIGHLANDS (Hotel recommended: Avillion)

Stop At: Cameron Highlands, Malaysia
Cameron Highlands is a hill resort with cool temperatures at 1,600 meters above sea level, is the largest tea growing region in Malaysia. BOH has the largest tea estates and works closely with WWF in the conservation and preservation of our critically endangered animals and rainforest. It is also known for its farmlands, nurseries, waterfalls, lakes and aborigines.
On arrival at Tanah Rata visit a tea plantation and take a stroll for photo shoots. Actually the tea plantations are instrumental in drawing visitors to the Highlands. The popular teas are Oolong Tea, Black Tea and Green Tea.
BUTTERFLY FARM A secret paradise of butterflies and insects that dance on scented flowers and ferns. Our National Butterfly is the Rajah Brooke named after the Rajah of Sarawak.
VEGETABLE MARKET Take a stroll through the market to see a variety of vegetables, fruits and flowers grown in the Camerons. Some farmers are into organic farming due to the growing niche market. Check in to hotel. Free and easy.

Day 3: CAMERONS - PENANG ISLAND (Hotel recommended : Park Royal)

Stop At: Penang Island, Penang Island, Penang
After breakfast, depart for Penang Island known as the Pearl of the Orient. now a UNESCO Heritage City. It is a food haven with colonial landmarks as in Fort Cornwallis where Sir Francis Light landed in 1786.
Clan Jetty has houses on stilts with plank walkways partly submerged in water. An exciting Trishaw ride as you get to see Georgetown at a glimpse passing through Little India, heritage buildings, Fort Cornwallis.
Batu Feringghi Hot Spot The most happening place in Penang Island. Water sports as in Jet Skiing, Para Sailing, Wing Surfing etc. Dining options of seafood restaurants, street foods, and fascinating Malaysian as well as International Cuisine with seafront night markets. You will be left undisturbed to enjoy your holidays - the sun. sea and sand of Penang Island. Please make own arrangements for next destination. End of tour.
