Day 1: KUALA LUMPUR - ORANG UTAN ISLAND - CAMERONS (Hotel Recommended: Avillion)

Orangutan is a "critically endangered species".
This tour is specially tailored for tourists who do not have a chance to see Orangutan in Sabah, Sarawak or Kalimantan.

The Orangutan is an intelligent creature, lives in forests and mountains, mangrove and coastal swamps, their food being fruits, nuts, young shoots, bird eggs, honey. The Sumatran Orangutan population approximate at 7,300. The decline in Orangutan numbers due to habitat loss, forest fires, hunting and pet trade.

The Orangutans are housed in a 14 hectares island - its a conservation, breeding, rehabilitation, research and education facility. It has veterinary services for sick and injured and nurseries for baby Orangutans and also a nursing home for babies. The guide belts out facts about Orangutan during walkabout through the steel fenced tunnel as the Orangutans roam freely laughing at us. You will then seemingly realise that YOU are in a cage. Orangutans are 97% genetically identical to humans.

Stop At: Kuala Sepetang, Kuala Sepetang, Perak
There is something that you do not see everyday. Its Black Gold. It is used as a purifier, remedy for upset stomach, as well as for barbeque and steam boat. It is called Charcoal - baked Mangrove trees. After a guided tour of the factory, lunch at Charcoal town Kuala Sepetang. Free and easy. Proceed to the Camerons for an overnite.

Stop At: Taiping War Cemetery, Taiping Lake Garden, Taiping 34000 Malaysia
Taiping War Cemetery is also known as the British War Cemetery was the final resting place of soldiers killed during World War 2 and Malayan Emergency. The Cemetery consolidates all scattered graves and is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Move on to the Camerons for an overnite stay - cool calm temperatures.

Day 2: CAMERONS - KUALA LUMPUR (Hotel recommended: Park Royal )

Stop At: Batu Caves, Batu Caves, Selangor
The iconic Batu Caves in Kuala Lumpur is home of Hindu Deity Lord Subramaniam who is honored during Thaipusam. Climb 272 steps into the temple. Devotees give thanks for vows fulfilled. Ladies to be properly attired to enter the temple - knees and shoulders to be covered.

Stop At: Cameron Highlands, Cameron Highlands, Pahang
Cameron Highlands is a Hill Resort with the largest tea growing region and also known for its farmlands, nurseries, orchards, wildlife, aborigines, lakes, waterfalls.
Visit the Tea Plantations which is instrumental in drawing visitors to the highlands. Photo shoots. The Butterfly Farm is a secret paradise for butterflies to dance on scented flowers. Take a walk down hill to Veggie Market to see various flowers, fruits and Veggies grown in the Camerons. You may pick strawberries for a fee (Optional). Return transfer to Kuala Lumpur enroute visiting the iconic Batu Caves and drop off at your hotel. End of tour.
