Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi – Leh (3,500 M / 11,550 FT)

Stop At: Leh Royal Palace, Leh India
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to take your flight to Ladakh. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, you can walk through the old town, beneath the Leh Palace, to allow you to get oriented to this fascinating city. Overnight stay at you hotel.

Day 2: Local Sightseeing After breakfast

Stop At: Sankar Monastery, 3 Km From Leh, Leh 194101 India
After breakfast, our travel guide takes you for a local sightseeing of Leh. Visit the Sankar monastery, Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Leh Monastery. Overnight Stay at Leh.Leh Palace - Built in 1430, the Leh Palace is popular among tourists for its large statue of Lord Buddha called Chamba by Ladakhi. The statue represents the future Buddha according to Lamas.Sankar Gompa - Located at a distance of 3-kms, the monastery has a good collection of miniature paintings. This can also be visited in the evening as it is well lit.

Day 3: Sang Sumdo/BC of Kongmaru-la (Churkirmo) (11,200 ft/3,400 m) 5 hrs. Trek

Pass By: Hemis Monastery, Hemis India
An easy ascend mainly along the true left bank of the Martselangchu to where it broadens into the valley of the Indus at the village of Martselang. En route explore the local village & wild animals. Chukirmo is the place where you can find the sulpher water. On the opposite side we pitch the tent for overnight

Day 4: Kongmaru-la (Chukirmo) /Kongmaru-La (5120M) /Nimaling (4880 M

Pass By: Markha Valley, Leh 194101 India
trek after crossing narrow gorges, we start our ascension towards the Kongmaru La. From the pass, there are great views north towards eastern Korakoram and China, whilst the southern view is dominated by the shapely Kang Yatze (6400m) and the Ladakhi range. We take a ridge trail and descend zigzagging across scare. Afterwards, the path meets the Nimaling summer pastures, used by Hankar and Markha shepherds

Day 5: Nimaling

Full day local visit on the fine meadow land on the base of Kengyatse (6130m) Overnight at camp

Day 6: Nimaling - Hankar (4000m): 5 hrs

Pass By: Markha Valley, Leh 194101 India
We steadily descend through meadows to Thachutse and cross the Nimaling River. The trail follows the Markha River now, and will do so for the next few days.

Day 7: Hankar - Markha (3850m)

Pass By: Markha Valley, Leh 194101 India
Several monasteries and ruins are scattered along the trail to Markha. After Umlung the valley narrows and becomes a gorge just before Markha. This large village has a fort and a monastery perched on the northern hill. The gompa is reputed to be one of the oldest in Ladakh

Day 8: Markha - Skiu (3450m) 6hrsTrek

Pass By: Skiu Campsite 2, Skiu, 194104
The trail passes through quite lush riverside vegetation. En route, we come across more derelict monasteries, some well maintained shortens and at least one good example of a wolf trap. Wolves become a nuisance during the winter as hunger forces them into the villages.

Day 9: Skiu/ Shingo (4150m)/Over Gandla (4920m)/Base of Gandla (3930M)

Pass By: Skiu Campsite 2, Skiu, 194104
We criss-cross the Markha River and cross it on bridges set at many of the most difficult crossing places. From a tiny group of stupas, we leave the valley and continue upwards along a river bounded by willows and wild rosebushes

Day 10: BC Gandla /Rumbak (3750m) 7 hrsTrek

Pass By: Stok Kangri, Leh 194201 India
At the pass, colorful prayer flags flap in the wind, with the Zanskari range in the background. Afterwards, we descend steadily along the Jingchan River. We get great views towards the Stok summit and the Stok Kangri (6121m).

Day 11: Rumbak - Stok La (4900m) - Stok BC (4200m) 07 hrsTrek

Pass By: Stok Palace Museum, Stok Palace, Leh 194101 India
Ascending from the Rumbak village till the Stok La (4900m) the pass, we enjoy excellent views towards the Indus valley. Eventually, we reach Stock la; take the right way to go to BC of Stok la. On arrival pitch the tent for 03 days. Overnight at tent.

Day 12: Stok -leh

Pass By: Thiksey Monastery, Leh Manali Highway, Leh 194101 India
After breakfast you will drive towards to leh inroute you can visit Thiksey Monastery, which is one of the most vibrant and active monasteries in the region. It dates back to the 16th century and is part of the Gelug-pa Sect. 3 kms ahead of Thiksey you will visit Shey Palace. Overlooking a small lake, the palace and fortification of Shey was the site of one of the former capitals of Ladakh. After the visit you return to Leh and uvernight stay at your Hotel.

Day 13: DEPARTURE
