A remarkable safari that introduces you to Masai Mara National Reserve renowned for year-round exceptional and abundant wildlife, Lake Nakuru National Park famous for its huge flocks of pink flamingos as well as a rich diversity of other wildlife; Lions, leopards, warthogs, waterbucks, pythons, and white rhinos, and most significant Ol-Pejeta Conservancy that is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and host to the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya.

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi-Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Stop At: Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Nanyuki Private Bag, 10400 Kenya
Today, you will awake to the exotic birdcalls in a magical new world with the whiff of Kenyan serenity. We will meet at 7:00am for a safari briefing before we take a drive to the famous Ol Pejeta Conservancy. We will arrive at camp with enough time to settle in before lunch with a little time to relax before we head out for our first game drive between 1500hrs to 1830hrs. Host to all the members of the ‘Big Five' (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard), the conservancy has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park. The conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species. Your luxury camp is a sheltered oasis, clustered around a water hole and set in the pristine calm of the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy; Sweetwaters Serena Camp offers a charming blend of under-canvas ambiance and Kenyan safari luxury.

Day 2: Ol Pejeta-Lake Nakuru National Park

Stop At: Lake Nakuru National Park Kenya
Rise up early for a morning game drive before returning to the camp for breakfast. Check out and leave Ol Pejeta Conservancy for Lake Nakuru National Park. We will arrive at camp with enough time to settle in before lunch with a little time to relax before we head out for our evening game drive between 1600hrs to 1830hrs. Lake Nakuru National Park offers you a rare insight into Kenya’s most diverse flora, fauna and wildlife and is famous for its huge flocks of pink flamingoes. The birds throng on Lake Nakuru itself, one of the Rift Valley soda lakes that comprises almost a third of the park's area. More than 450 species of birds have been recorded here as well as a rich diversity of other wildlife. Lions, leopards, warthogs, waterbucks, pythons, and white rhinos are just some of the animals you might see, and the landscapes range from sweeping grasslands bordering the lake to rocky cliffs and woodland. The park also protects the largest euphorbia candelabrum forest in Africa.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru-Masai Mara Game Reserve

Stop At: Mara River, Maasai Mara National Reserve 00200 Kenya
Rise up early for breakfast, check out and depart Nakuru for Masai Mara Game Reserve. We will arrive at the lodge with enough time to settle in before lunch with a little time to relax before we head out for our evening game drive between 1600hrs to 1830hrs. Masai Mara is one of the lushest reserves in Africa, and is globally renowned for the Great Migration when thousands of wildebeest, zebra, and Thomson's gazelle travel to and from the Serengeti, from July through October. In the Mara River, throngs of hippos and crocodiles lurk.

Day 4: Explore Masai Mara

Stop At: Mara River, Maasai Mara National Reserve 00200 Kenya
Rise early today for breakfast. As the cool, fresh air fills your lungs you will feel invigorated and rejuvenated, ready for a great full day game drive. Roll down the windows or stand up through the customized pop up roof hatch and enjoy this unhindered 360 views, and the possibilities for what lies ahead. Masai Mara Game Reserve is known for providing excellent predator sightings in their natural habitats thanks to its relatively large populations of lion, cheetah, and leopard. We will also see lots of Elephants, Masai giraffe, common zebra, impala, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles, Topi, Hartebeest, Black-backed jackal, spotted hyena and more. We shall also enjoy our packed lunch in the game reserve and in the evening return to lodge` for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Masai Mara-Nairobi

Early morning pre-breakfast game drive to track the wildcats as they hunt and kill very early in the morning. At 8:30am back to the camp for full breakfast, later proceed for a drive back to the buzzing Kenya’s capital with lunch en route bringing to an end what we hope shall be a safari of your lifetime.
