Wild Jordan Horse Riding

Welcome to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of the Bedouins! Less than a five-hour flight from Europe, you will arrive in Amman, the capital of Jordan! Each visitor will be welcomed by the customs of Jordan's legendary hospitality, Salma Tours & Travel endeavors to make you live an unforgettable horseback ride but also help you to discover the wonders of the country's heritage!

Day 1: Airport for arrival - Amman
Upon arriving at the airport or at the land borders, you will be received by Salma Tours & Travel representatives assisting you on your way through immigration; followed by a private transfer to Amman (33 kilometers from the airport) for check-in at your hotel.

Day 2: Amman - Madaba - Nebo - Petra
In the morning, depart to Madaba and have a day dedicated to the Kings Road; ancient Silk Road. Stop in Madaba, the "City of Mosaics", which has the most famous mosaic map of the Holy Land in "6th century", depicting Jerusalem and the Holy Land. You will then take the road to visit Mount Nebo, where Moses was given a view of the Promised Land and where he died and was buried.
You will find in Nebo the are ruins of the 4th and 6th-century churches whose floors are still covered with marvelous mosaic; the memorial of Moses offers spectacular views of the Jordan Valley. After the visit, crossing the Moujip Valley (Wadi al Moujip), there is a spectacular canyon between Madaba and Karak. You will visit the Kerak Castle, built by the Crusaders in the 12th century. Arrive in the evening with the sunset over the mountains of Petra; have dinner and spend the night at a hotel in Petra.

Day 3: Horse Riding in Petra (Around: 5 to 6 hours on the saddle)
Have breakfast and meet the horses then set off for a full day Petra horse riding tour. Start with (the Siq) Narrow Path and the Treasury, Street of Facades, the Royal tombs, then to the camping site near Snake Monument. Have dinner and spend the night camping around Snake Monument.

Day 4: Horse Riding in Petra (Around: 6 to 7 hours on the saddle)
Have breakfast and leave the campsite toward Jabal Aroun on horseback, where you will leave your horses near the peak to finish the climb on foot to the top of the Aroun tomb to enjoy the view of Wadi Araba and Wadi Mousa. Have lunch on the mountain then make your way back while wandering the valley to the same campsite in Petra, where you will have dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Petra - Little Petra (Around: 5 to 6 hours on the saddle)
Have breakfast and leave the camp to Little Petra to do another day of horse riding to discover the Neolithic village of Baidah and Little Petra to see Siq and the only fresco painting in Petra. After, come back to your horses to find the water reservoir around Bedbdeh, dinner, and overnight camping in Little Petra.

Day 6: Little Petra - Elgi - Wadi Rum (Around: 5 to 6 hours on the saddle)
Have breakfast and leave the camp to another area called Elgi around Petra to discover the area and the surrounding mountains overlooking Petra and Wadi Mousa, then drive in the late afternoon to Wadi Rum for dinner and camping overnight.

Days 7, 8, and 9: Wadi Rum (Around: 6 to 7 hours on the saddle)
Have breakfast at the camp and begin horse preparation and three full days of riding in Wadi Rum to explore the desert, the dry oasis, Jebel Umm Asah, where you can see two temples from the Thamodice Period, Wadi Umm Ishreen, riding via the canyons and the sand dunes, and Jebel Bourdah, the highest rock-bridge in Wadi Rum. Each day, you will end the ride with the sunset followed by a special dinner and overnight camping in Wadi Rum, under a blanket of stars.

Day 10: Wadi Rum - Aqaba
After breakfast, transfer to Aqaba (Red Sea) and enjoy a full day of free time to enjoy swimming and relaxation at the Red Sea beach; dinner and overnight will be at the hotel.

Day 11: Aqaba - (Amman City Tour) - Airport for Departure
Transfer from Aqaba to Amman where you will have the city tour to explore the Citadel and the Roman theater. The group will then be transferred to the airport for departure with a farewell.
