The mosaic decorations are really spectacular. In the Roman Houses you can enjoy ancient roman frescoes , in one of them you can see one the first representation of a christian praying . Walking through the celian hill, we stop at St.Stefano Rotondo church, a simple but spectacular basilica of the early christian period. We contnue to St. Mary in Domnica, to stop and enjoy a wonderful mosaic, and finally, we visit a four-story Basilica, St. Clement. This is a unique example of a church built up on different levels dating back from the impeial time to middle ages . The upper Church is decorated by superb mosaic in the apse. We will talk about the orign of the cross as christian symbol and the changes of it through the centuries .
