7-days Sardinia Wine and Food Tour

Discover Sardinia's best and most genuine culinary traditions travelling through the different and contrasting landscapes of the island in a blaze of experiences and flavours.

Day 1: Upon arrival in Cagliari, you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in.

Day 2: Enjoy a visit at the colourful San Benedetto Market where your expert food guide will lead you on a tasting of local delicacies and crudities and help you select some of the ingredients that you will use in a cooking class. Travel to a nearby villages to meet a family of farmers who grow organic fruits and vegetables, and enjoy a delicious lunch. In a private traditional house, you will have fun learning how to make Sardinian fresh pasta and you could take a walk to view some of the most surprising wall graffiti for which San Sperate is so famous for. Dinner will be served with the dishes you cooked.

Day 3: Travel to the inner Sardinia and visit an olive oil grinding mill where you will meet the owners, take a tour and enjoy their aromatic extra virgin olive oils on mother yeast bread. The morning will continue with a visit to a beautiful wine cellar, with wine tasting. Then, enjoy a delicious lunch in a Michelin starred restaurant. Visit to Su Nuraxi Nuraghe a Unesco World Heritage Site. If time and weather allows it, you will take a walk to the Jara Park and admire its beautiful wild little horses. Transfer to Oristano / Sinis Peninsula where you will spend the night.

Day 4: In the heart of the Sinis Peninsula you will visit the ruins of Tharros town, a Phoenician city set by sea and climb up to medieval tower overlooking this charming romantic bay. From Tharros, you will be led to the beautiful Seu natural Oasis for a relaxing walk of this wild setting.  Lunch will follow at a Beach Falasco or a local restaurant depending on the season. Return to the hotel to relax. In the afternoon, you will discover the traditional rustic unfired-mud-brick cellars where you will have the chance to view a Bottarga making demonstration and taste some of the most beautiful vernaccia. Enjoy an unformal dinner with the wine cellar owners accompanied by the sound of Launeddas. 

Day 5: The day starts with a visit to the archaeological museum of Cabras and the stunning mysteries Nuragic statues called Mont’e Prama Giants. Travel to the picturesque town of Santu Lussurgiu, the stronghold of Sardinia slow food. A visit through the narrow cobbled lanes of the medieval centre will be followed by a visit to a “Casizzolu Cheese Grotto”. After lunch, transfer to Oliena, via the town of Orgosolo. Stop for a tour of its so famous “murales”, before continuing to Cala Gonone for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: A boat tour along the Orosei Gulf is a memorable experience but yours is even more special as you will spend a day with the fishermen on a small motor boat.

Day 7: Depart to Cagliari.
