Kanyakumari is a coastal town in the state of Tamil Nadu on India's southern tip. Jutting into the Laccadive Sea, the town was known as Cape Comorin during British rule and is popular for watching sunrise and sunset over the ocean. It's also a noted pilgrimage site thanks to its Bagavathi Amman Temple, dedicated to a consort of Shiva, and its Our Lady of Ransom Church, a center of Indian Catholicism.

 Surrounded by Majestic Hills and the plains bordered by colourful sea-shores, fringed with coconut trees and paddy fields, here and there are few elevated patches of red cliffs with undulating valleys and plains between the mountainous terrain and the sea - coast, so closely interwoven with Temples and Churches and other edifices lies the district, 'Kaniyakumari'. With an area of 1672 sq.km. it occupies 1.29% of the total extent of Tamil Nadu. It ranks first in literacy among other districts in Tamil Nadu.

You will be picked up from your booked Hotel at 9:30 am by a professional licensed driver on a comfortable vehicle and your guide will join you at Kanyakumari.

 

Morning 10:00 am pick up from your hotel and Later proceed to Kanyakumari the land of virgin goddess. Kanyakumari an important pilgrim centre of India.The 3000 year old Kumari Amman temple at this place is dedicated to Virgin Goddess Kanyakumari, who stands in eternal vigil protecting the country, is surrounded by a stone wall and stands on the edge of the ocean. You can Visit  Padmanabhapuram Palace (wooden palace), Around 64 kms from Thiruvananthapuram lies the seat of the erstwhile rulers of Travancore, the Padmanabhapuram Palace. This masterpiece of indigenous Kerala architecture is located at Thuckalay, on the way to Kanyakumari. The wooden palace is well maintained and its murals, fabulous floral carvings and black granite floor continue to astound all who view it to this day. The interiors are beautiful relics with intricate rose carvings and sculptured decor. It has many murals dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. To its South – East lies the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial, a blend of all architectural styles of India. Vivekananda Rock Memorial is a popular tourist monument in Vavathurai, Kanyakumari, India. The memorial stands on one of two rocks located about 500 meters east off mainland of Vavathurai, India's southernmost tip.

Later see  the memorial statue of Thiruvalluvar, is in Kanyakumari. Thiruvalluvar statue is another one of the most famous attraction of Kanyakumari which was opened for general public access on the first day of the new millennium that is January 1, 2000. The statue is situated at a distance of 400 m from the city’s coastline on a small island rock. Its total height is of 133 feet. This statue is of the famous Tamil poet and saint Thiruvalluvar. The statue is located just near the Vivekananda Rock Memorial. Both of these rocks are close to each other and one can easily access by a ferry available from the mainland. In the evening, watch the most beautiful sunset of Kanyakumari.

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Resembling central Indian Hindu temples in form, the memorial was so designed that on Mahatma Gandhi's birthday (2nd October), the first rays of the sun fall on the exact place where the ashes of the father of the nation were kept.

Kanyakumari is also  famous for the Amman Temples (outside view only). later proceed to visit Wax Meuseum.
