Jaipur - Jodhpur - Jaipur - Multi Day Tour

Jaipur is a major tourist attraction, and it attracts tourists all year long. It also forms a Golden Trial with Delhi and Agra. Around 335 km from Jaipur is another city in Rajasthan named, Jodhpur. Jodhpur is also a prominent tourist attraction and home to many temples, forts, and palaces.

Get a chance to visit famous tourist spots in both cities. Amber Palace, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, and Jal Mahal are places that experience a humongous footfall from both the locals and tourists.

Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Clock Tower, and Umaid Bhawan are amazing places to be explored. On the way back to Jaipur get a chance to visit Pushkar as well.

Itinerary

Day 1: Jaipur Tour

Stop At: Amber Fort, Amer, Jaipur 302001 India
Amber Fort is located on the hill and is a prime tourist attraction. This fort is located in Amer, a town originally built by Meenas but later ruled by Raja Man Singh I.

The fort overlooks Maota Lake, a lake that is the primary source of water for the palace. This beautiful palace is constructed of red sandstone and marble.

Stop At: City Palace of Jaipur, Tripolia Bazar Near Jantar Mantar, Jaipur 3023002 India
City Palace was the ceremonial and administrative seat of Maharaja of Jaipur until 1949. The palace has several buildings, courtyards, and gardens with two of the main palaces Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal.

Stop At: Jantar Mantar - Jaipur, Tripoliya Bazaar near entrance to City Palace, Jaipur 302020 India
Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage site, encompasses nineteen architectural astronomical instruments which are built by Sawai Jai Singh II, a Rajput king. The instruments allow observing astronomical-positions with the naked eye and this place is home to World's Largest Stone Sundial.

Stop At: Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind, Hawa Mahal Tripolia Bazaar Road Badi Choupad, J.D.A. Market, Pink City, Jaipur 302002 India
Hawa Mahal situated on the edge of City Palace is made up of red and pink sandstone. This unique structure building imbibes small 953 windows.

Stop At: Jal Mahal, Amer Road, Jaipur 302002 India
Jal Mahal, translation - Water Palace, is situated in the middle of Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur. This five-story building is made up of red sandstone. When the dam is full of water four stories submerged underwater and one story is above it.

Day 2: Jodhpur Tour

Stop At: Mehrangarh Fort, Fort Rd., Jodhpur 342006 India
Located 125 m above the city, Mehrangarh Fort is one of the largest forts in India. The fort has thick walls and the cannonball imprints that were fired by armies of Jaipur, are easily noticeable on the second gate. Maharaja Man Singh built one gate named Jayapol(victory gate) to celebrate victory over Jaipur and Bikaner armies and another Fattehpol(victory gate) to commemorate the victory over Mughals. There are seven gates in total.

Stop At: Jaswant Thada, Near Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur India
Maharaja Sardar Singh built a cenotaph in Jodhpur in memory of his father Maharaja Jaswant Singh II in 1899. Since it is made of extremely thin sheets of marble, they emit a warm glow when sunlight falls on it.

Stop At: Ghanta Ghar, Nai Sarak, Ghantaghar Market, Jodhpur 342001 India
Built by Maharaja Sardar Singh, Ghanta Ghar is also known as Clock Tower. It has clocks on all four sides of tower as in earlier days people did not use to have clocks and they depend on the tower to know the time. Also, this used to be in the city center and still is a major attraction for tourists and locals.

Stop At: Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum, Circuit House Road, Jodhpur 342006 India
Named after Maharaja Umaid Singh, Umaid Bhawan Palace is one of the largest personal residences built in Jodhpur. Grandson of Maharaja Umaid Singh, Gaj Singh is the present owner. Part of a Palace is a museum and a part of the Palace is managed by Taj Hotels.

Stop At: Pushkar Lake, Pushkar 305022 India
Located in Pushkar, Pushkar Lake is a sacred water body for Hindus. Surrounded by 52 bathing ghats, many pilgrims take a sacred bath.
