Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Delhi

Pass By: Delhi, India
Arrive at Delhi International airport, where you are warmly welcomed and received by our representative followed by transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free at your leisure.

Day 2: Delhi

Stop At: Delhi, India
Post breakfast meet your tour guide at hotel lobby and proceed for full day sightseeing tour of Delhi. First we proceed to Old Delhi where we see the Red Fort (a UNESCO world heritage site) from outside before walking through Chandni Chowk, savoring the ambience of the oriental, crowded bazaar. Later we continue to India's largest mosque, Jama Masjid.
Afterwards we will have a brief photo stop at India Gate, a memorial to the soldiers of British Indian Army who died in First World War. Next, visit The Humayun's Tomb, a UNESCO world heritage site(Tomb of the second Mughal Emperor) built in 1570. This tomb, built in 1570, is of particular cultural significance as it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. It inspired several major architectural innovations, culminating in the construction of the Taj Mahal.
Later this afternoon, visit another UNESCO World Heritage site, the Qutab Minar, a minaret that forms a part of the Qutub Complex, built in early 13th Century. The Qutub Minar is a towering 73 meter high tower built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak in 1193 to celebrate Muslim dominance in Delhi after the defeat of Delhi’s last Hindu ruler.
Later, visit Connaught Place a sprawling circular market is a frenetic business and financial hub, centered on a ring of colonnaded Georgian-style buildings with global chain stores, vintage cinemas, bars and Indian restaurants.
Return to hotel for an evening at your leisure. Overnight stay is in Delhi.

Day 3: Delh- Jaipur (260 km / 5 hrs drive)

Pass By: Jaipur, Jaipur, Jaipur District, Rajasthan
Post breakfast drive to Jaipur, known as the 'Pink City' for the colour of the buildings in the old town. Some parts of the road are very rough so the journey takes most of the afternoon. Jaipur was founded in 1727 as Mughal power within India was declining. The then Maharaja Jai Singh moved his capital from Amer Fort down onto the plain below. The city is now the capital of Rajasthan State and commonly called the 'Pink City' because of the pink paint on all the buildings in the old city area. This was apparently done to imitate the magnificent, red sandstone buildings of the Mughals and in an attempt to impress the Prince of Wales when he visited Jaipur in 1876.

Arrive Jaipur and check-in your hotel. Rest of the day is free at your leisure. You can go to local market, restaurants etc as the driver will be available on your disposal.

Day 4: Jaipur Sightseeing

Stop At: Jaipur, Jaipur, Jaipur District, Rajasthan
Post breakfast at 08:30AM, meet your local guide at hotel Lobby and proceed for full day guided city tour of Jaipur. Visit Amer Fort, also known as Amber Fort is one of the best Forts of Rajasthan, located 11 km form Jaipur city is a top tourist attraction of Jaipur. Later return to Jaipur city and stop for photo shoot at Jal Mahal and Hawa Mahal followed by visits to City Palace and Jantar Mantar. Evening is free to visit local market.

Day 5: Jaipur - Agra (240km / 4-5 hrs drive)

Pass By: Agra, Agra, Agra District, Uttar Pradesh
Post breakfast drive to Jaipur enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri.
Located 40km from Agra, Fatehpur Sikri was built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 after it was prophesized that the then childless Akbar would have sons if he moved his capital to the site. At great expense to the empire, the capital was moved here but sadly only occupied for 14 years before slowly being deserted and ruined after Akbar left the city due to a scarcity of water. While here we visit the remarkably well-preserved and graceful buildings within the Ghost City including the Jama Masjid, tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal Palace and other palaces that speak of the grandeur and splendour of the Mughal Empire at the height of its power.

Post breakfast drive to Agra, situated along the bank of Yamuna River is a major tourist destination of India, having 3 UNESCO world heritage sites including the very famous Taj Mahal. Arrive Agra and check-in the hotel. Rest of the day is free at your leisure.

Day 6: Agra sightseeing

Stop At: Agra, Agra, Agra District, Uttar Pradesh
Early morning at Sunrise, visit the most beautiful monument and the wonder of the world, The Taj Mahal. It took 23 years (1630-1653) and 1000 laborers to complete its construction on an order by Mughal emperor Shahjahan. Shahjahan made The Taj Mahal on the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal.
Return to hotel for breakfast. Later visit the Red Fort, It was the Royal Residence of Mughal Emperors until 1638, when Shahjahan shifted his capital from Agra to Delhi. Also visit mad-ud-daula, known as the Mini Taj. Rest of the day is free for leisure/shopping.

Day 7: Agra - Orchha (By short Train) - Khajuraho (By Road)

Pass By: Khajuraho, Khajuraho, Chhatarpur District, Madhya Pradesh
Post early breakfast transfer to railway station to board train for Jhansi. Arrive Jhansi railway station, where our executive meet you and introduce you to driver followed by drive to Khajuraho enroute visiting medieval city Orcchha.
Orchha is a mediaeval city, famous for its palaces and temples built by its Bundela rulers in the 16th Century. Jehangir Mahal, a tiered palace, is crowned by graceful cenotaphs, and commands a spectacular view of soaring temple spires and surrounding cenotaphs.
After Orchha visit and lunch, drive to Khajuraho. Arrive Khajuraho and check-in the hotel. Evening is free for relax.

Day 8: Khajuraho Sightseeing

Pass By: Khajuraho Temples, Khajuraho India
Post breakfast meet your guide at hotel lobby for the sightseeing tour of Khajuraho. Start with UNESCo World Heritage Western Group of Monuments. In western group complex, visit Laxman Temple, Kandariya Mahadev Temple, Devi Jagdamba Temple, Chitragupta Temple and Vishwanath Templ.Start with the Western Group of Khajuraho temples. Laxman Temple and Kandariya Mahadev Temples are the most important of all and masterpieces of art and architecture. Post lunch visit Eastern Group of Temples. Return to hotel for some relax.
Later in evening enjoy local cultural dance show in nearby theater (optional and on direct payment)

Optional: Early morning or in the afternoon you have an option to do a Jungle safari in Panna National Park (25km/30 Mints from Khajuraho)
The Park is spread in the area of 542.67 km2 (209.53 sq. mi). It was declared as the twenty second Tiger reserve of India in 1994 and the fifth in Madhya Pradesh.The National Park was awardedas the best maintained national park of India by the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of Indiain 2007. Among the animals found here are the Tiger, Leopard, Chital, Chinkara, Nilgai, Sambhar, Sloth Bear and more than 200 species of birds.
Later in evening enjoy local cultural dance show in nearby theater (optional and on direct payment)

Day 9: Khajuraho - Varanasi (By Flight)

Enjoy relaxed breakfast at hotel. Later at around noon, transfer to Khajuraho airport in time to board flight for Varanasi. Khajuraho-Varanasi flight fare included in the tour price.
Arrive Varanasi airport, meet our executive and transfer to your pre-booked hotel.
Later this evening take a rickshaw ride through the streets of Varanasi to the ghats of the River Ganges to witness the Pooja ceremony of Ganga Aarti (a prayer ceremony).

Day 10: Varanasi Sightseeing

We have an early morning start today to commence our cruise on the River Ganges to view the ghats at sunrise when they are abuzz with activity. The devotees perform their ablutions in the river or offer prayers to the rising sun. As we cruise along the river we will have an ideal vantage point to view these activities.

Later this morning we commence on a brief sightseeing tour of Varanasi. We start by visiting some of the important temples like Bharat Mata Mandir, a unique temple inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi, which interestingly houses one of the most perfect relief maps of India and is dedicated to Mother India. Another is the Durga Temple dedicated to Goddess Durga, consort of Lord Shiva.

Afterwards we drive through the largest residential university of Asia, Banaras Hindu University, founded by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya where we visit the new Vishwanath Temple in the university campus.

This afternoon we drive to visit the Buddhist sites at Sarnath. It is the fabled place where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon to his disciples expounding the principles of Buddhism. The ruins here date back to as far as the 3rd Century BC.
Return to hotel and enjoy evening at your leisure.

Day 11: Drop at Varanasi Airport
