Experience the most famous landmarks in Delhi, Jaipur and Agra on this 7-day private Golden Triangle Tour which also includes a journey by train to Amritsar to visit the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh Memorial. This package will take you many well-known places including the Taj Majal in Agra, Jama Masjid in Old Delhi and City Palace in Jaipur. This private guided tour includes round-trip transfer from Delhi.

Day 1: Delhi Arrive

Evening transfer to your hotel from Delhi airport.

Overnight at the Golden Tulip (or similar accommodation)

Day 2: Delhi - Amritsar by Train (B)

After breakfast, transfer to Delhi Railway Station to take a train to Amritsar.

In the evening, visit the India-and-Pakistan border to witness the Changing of the Guards Ceremony.

Day 3: Amritsar - Delhi by Train (B)

In the morning, visit Amritsar’s Golden Temple, built by Guru Arjun Singh in the late 16th Century. Later, visit Jallianwala Bagh Memorial, an important monument dedicated to the martyrs of a 1919 massacre. Then, transfer to Amritsar Railway Station Train to return to Delhi.

Day 4: Delhi - Jaipur (B,L)

Tour Old Delhi, and then visit Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India. Drive past Red Fort citadel to reach Raj Ghat, the spot of Mahatma Gandhi's cremation.

In New Delhi, visit the Humayun’s Tomb or Qutub Minar (Unesco World Heritage Site). Encounter the India Gate, and pass grand government buildings, such as the President’s House and Parliament House. After lunch, drive 4.5 hours to Jaipur, the first planned city of India located in the desert lands of Rajasthan.

Day 5: Jaipur Sightseeing (B,L)

Visit Amber Fort in Amber, the former capital of the Kachhwaha clan until Jaipur was made the official capital in 1727. Hawa Mahal was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh.

After lunch, visit City Palace, the principle residence of the ruling family known for its stunning architecture. Part of it is converted to a museum. Also see Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory raised in the 18th century.

Day 6: Jaipur - Agra (B,L)

Depart to Agra. Optional - On the way, stop at Fatehpur Sikri (Unesco World Heritage Site), “the world’s most perfectly preserved ghost town”.

If not Friday, visit the Taj Mahal in the evening. This wonder of the world stands testimony to the timeless love story of the 17th century Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan and his wife, Queen Mumtaz Mahal.

Day 7: Agra - Delhi (B,L)

Visit the Taj Mahal (closed Fridays) and Agra Fort, two well-known Unesco World Heritage Sites. Agra Fort is a huge fort made of red sandstone built during the great Mughal era. After sightseeing in Agra, relax on the 3-hour drive back to Delhi for your late evening transfer to Delhi airport.
