From Jaipur to Sambhar on Motorbike - A Guided Tour

Jaipur forms a Golden Triangle for tourists with Agra and Delhi and is a major attraction for tourists. Located 80 km Southwest to Jaipur is Sambhar Salt Lake, the largest inline Salt Lake of India. It attracts a lot of birds and serves as a paradise for Bird Watchers.

What better could we have than going to paradise by ourselves, by driving a motorbike. After treating our eyes with natural beauty, we will go to Shakambari Mata Temple, an Indian Goddess known to be the bearer of greens.

On reaching Fatehgarh, a farm in Pachkodia, you will experience a beautiful welcome in Rajasthani Style. There would be folk music welcome drinks and Rajasthani Thali, as lunch, available on the farm. If Government School was open, we can interact with kids and distribute them pencils we provide. On returning to the farm, we have turban tying for men and sari draping for women demonstration.

A refundable amount of INR 4000/USD 60 would be charged as a security deposit.

Stop At: Sambhar Salt Lake, National Highway 8, Kuchaman India

Largest inline Salt Lake of India, Sambhar Salt Lake receives water from five lakes named, Medtha, Samaod, Mantha, Rupangarh, Khari and Khandela.

5.1 Km long sandstone dam divides this lake, and the gates are lifted when the salty water reaches above the limit. There are saltwater evaporating ponds to the east of the lake. Salt is been farmed for thousands of years from this lake.

It is home to a lot of birds, and the view of this lake is truly a blessing.

Stop At: Maa Shakambari Devi Temple, Sh 2, Nawa 341509 India

Shakambari, known as the bearer of greens, is an incarnation of Goddess Parvati, consort to Mahakala. It is believed that when food became scarce, the divine mother came to earth and gave food to the needy. All the food we eat is considered to be a Prasad of Maa Shakambari.
