Gadisar Lake is a man-made reservoir and once was a source of water for people living in Jaisalmer. This reservoir is surrounded by temples and ghats and was constructed by Raja Rawal Jaisal. If you are looking for a peaceful time to be spent, this lake is the spot.

Stop At: Kothari's Patwaon-Ki-Haveli, Near Patwa Complex, Patwa Haveli, Jaisalmer 345001 India

It is the oldest haveli in Jaisalmer and it is not just one haveli but a cluster of five. Also known as a mansion of brocade merchants, a great work of architecture can be seen in this haveli.

Stop At: Nathmal Ji Ki Haveli, Center Of The City Opp, Nathmal Haveli, Jaisalmer 345001 India

It is a must-visit site if in Jaisalmer. The facts say that the construction of this haveli was started with two points at the same time. The huge yellow sandstone statue is ready to welcome you as you enter.

Stop At: Salim Singh-ki Haveli, Near Jaisalmer Fort, Jaisalmer India

Built-in 1815, Salim Singh ki Haveli is built by Salim Singh, Prime Minister of the kingdom when Jaisalmer was the capital. The stones of this site are strongly connected with iron rods. The beautiful haveli has a roof constructed in the form of a peacock.

Served as residence to rulers for more than two centuries, Mandir palace is now a prominent landmark and is a heritage site to Jaisalmer. The site is embellished with the carvings and is a treat to eyes.

As one-fourth of the city still resides in the fort, it is believed to be one of the few living forts in the world. The fort was built by Rawat Rawal Jaisal from which the fort gets its name, Jaisalmer Fort. It is the second oldest fort in Rajasthan and now declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site.
