Reach the famous Indo-Pak Wagah Border by the evening. The border is an army outpost, 30 Kms from Amritsar and holds national importance to both the countries and is a highly secured area. Watch the electric Flag Retreat Ceremony at the border in which soldiers from both the nations shake hands in hope of a peaceful friendship between the two nations in the future.

Day 2: Amritsar Sightseeing

Stop At: Golden Temple Road Atta Mandi, Katra Ahluwalia, Amritsar 143001 India
Good morning, have breakfast and start your city tour with a world famous attractions, the Golden Temple. The most important sikh shrine which is also called Mecca for the Sikhs is a living symbol of the spiritual and historical traditions of the Sikhs.

Stop At: Jallianwala Bagh, Golden Temple Rd, Jallan Wala Bagh, Katra Ahluwalia, Amritsar, Punjab 143006, India
Then visit Jallianwala Bagh- where, on April 13, 1919, British and Gurkha soldiers opened fire on an unarmed forbidden gathering, killing hundreds of civilians. Then visit Durgiana Temple, the temple of goddess of power. You can also do shopping in old Amritsar Market for Ladies suites and Punjab Jutti (Traditional Punjab Shoes).

Stop At: Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum, Lawrence Road, Amritsar India
After lunch, visit the well preserved Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum. Maharaja Ranjit Singh was a 19th-century Sikh ruler who achieved great feats for his empire. This museum depicts the history and story of Ranjit Singh with old artefact and sculptures.

As you complete the city of Amritsar, Depart for Delhi in the evening.
