The Citadel in Budapest is a 19th-century fortification on top of Gellert Hill (part of the UNESCO World Heritage site) – the fortress was turned into a lookout tower/stronghold, which provides one of the most stunning views over the river Danube.

Stop At: Castle Garden, Ybl Miklos ter 2-6., Budapest 1013 Hungary

The series of buildings and gardens, known as Várkert bazár, were built in the 19. century (between 1875-1883) by the designs of Miklós Ybl architect

The aim of the construction was to create a similarly elegant and attractive cityscape at the foot of the Royal Palace in Buda as the one in the Pest side of the river.

The city leaders thought that the Várkert could be developed into a busy shopping and entertainment centre, a sort of replica of the Danube Promenade in the Pest side.

The Hungarian Parliament is an absolutely must see attraction in Budapest with is splendour, 40 kg of gold, 500,000 ornamental stones, 242 statues, painted glasses, a 96-meter high central dome, 18 000 square meters. But it is a fact that the Parliament in Budapest is majestic. It was built at the end of the 19th century in Gothic Revival style.

Andrássy Avenue is a boulevard in Budapest, dating back to 1872. Lined with spectacular neo-renaissance mansions and townhouses featuring fine facades and interiors. It is also one of Budapest's main shopping streets, with fine cafes, restaurants, theatres, Embassies, and luxury boutiques. Among the most noticeable buildings are the State Opera House, the former Ballet School, the Zoltán Kodály Memorial Museum and Archives, the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and the Ferenc Hopp Museum of East Asian Arts.

Stop At: Heroes' Square, Andrassy Avenue Next to City Park in the VI. District, Budapest 1062 Hungary

Heroes' Square is one of the major squares in Budapest, noted for its iconic statue complex featuring the Seven chieftains of the Magyars and other important Hungarian national leaders, as well as the Memorial Stone of Heroes, often referred as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The square lies at the outbound end of Andrássy Avenue next to City Park (Városliget). It hosts the Museum of Fine Arts and the Műcsarnok. The square has played an important part in contemporary Hungarian history and has been a host to many events.
